"DO NOT BUY FROM CROUDACE!"

Don't believe the NHBC rating for this housebuilder. As soon as they have got their 8 week survey in, or it has expired, they don't care. Their attitude towards our sub-standard executive home was to run us out of the 2 year warranty period and throw their customers in to the hands of the NHBC, who are in developers' pockets. When (and it is when, not if) the NHBC find for the developer who pays their fees, Croudace wash their hands completely in an abrupt and callous way. Shocking customer service from Chief Exec downwards.

Do not buy from these developers. They will avoid at all costs repairing something that they have not built correctly. Lack of correct materials have led to serious issues in our home and they are doing all they can to avoid any responsibility. Terrible. Absolutely shameful.

"The Grange, Tetsworth, honest review"

Unfortunately if available I’m afraid it would be a zero star rating for this house builder. We purchased from Croudace back in April 2020 at The Grange in Tetsworth, Oxfordshire. From receiving the keys on completion day we’ve had nothing but ongoing issues. We walked into our new home to be greeted with scratched stainless steel appliances, rust spots on the cooker hob, scratched sink, exposed electrical wires, electrical sockets not working, cracked plasterboard walls, noisy stairs, toilet seats hanging off, leaking on suite shower (totally unusable), heavily scratched bathroom furniture (cupboards). To be honest the list is endless! We had a visit from their area manager as to add to all these problems we could clearly hear our neighbours at no fault of their own. Words can’t describe how rude this man was towards us. Absolutely disgusting & disgraceful behaviour this man showed in our home to the point I had to ask him to leave. We’ve now had to spend over 10k to try to rectify the poor sound insulation which is totally unacceptable. You shouldn’t be able to clearly hear footsteps whilst your neighbours are walking around their home! This isn’t acceptable in an apartment let alone a semi detached home. During this work we discovered heavy mortar snots sitting on the wall ties within the cavity wall which was described as shocking from the guys who carried out the survey. If you are thinking of purchasing a Croudace home please think twice as this is an honest review of a nightmare year we’ve experienced. We are still finding issues daily (loose bathroom floor tiles today) as are many of our neighbours including flooding in virtually all gardens due to the poor drainage installed by Croudace. What makes the whole experience even worse is we’ve never ever had an apology from Croudace Homes. As mentioned previously if you are thinking of purchasing please think again. Myself and I’m sure many neighbours would be happy to share our experiences with Croudace.

"Excellent build with very good after…"

Excellent build with very good after care. This is our 6th new house, and the quality of finishing is superb. Just had snagging completed and very little, just door adjustments mainly. Very pleased as previous houses bespoke, and this is the first on a development.

"Avoid these cowboys"

Avoid these cowboys. The amount of issues that have developed is simply not worth putting yourself through. They should be stopped as they are making peoples lives a misery. Please do not buy from these people! I would recommend buying a home that is old (and which you know work is needed) and doing it up yourself rather than buying a new home and your heart breaking each time there is an issue. Quality of build is awful- STAY AWAY

We recently moved into a new Croudace home and it is absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend and our new home is testament to the hard work that they put into every one of their builds. Simply put we are in love! Special thank you to those who worked at St James Vale, Great Horwood.

"Avoid Croudace built houses and flats like a plague"

We are living in a Croudace built house. It's currently 6 years old. Shower has leaked into the wall and the guy who came to fix it said that apparently "this is a Croudace special, they do not seal showers off properly." When I've spoken to people on our development, this has happend to almost everyone in these houses. They use spotlight fixtures which blow out in a few years and you cannot just replace the bulb, you have to replace the entire light fixture. All radiators and all bathroom chrome fixtures have started rusting over; bathroom radiators are really bad. Surely if you're putting fixtures up in bathrooms, they have to have some kind of moisture protection?! Sealants around the bath, shower, sinks and all kitchen appliances are shockingly bad and smudged in places - it looks like a 5 year old has been learning on these houses. All floors on the 1st floor creak really badly (wood laid on wood with no layer in between?!). Moisture and dirt gets trapped between two layers of double glazed windows and the windows do not shut out any sounds, smells or even wind - really bad quality. Frames around doors have started cracking now.
This house is only 6 years old and I dread to see what it will look like in another 6. We have to move before it falls apart completely! Shockingly bad fixtures and "workmanship" used throughout the house. The problem is that it all looks fine cosmetically until you actually start living in these houses. Will make sure I will never move into a Croudace house again in my life.
Please note none of these are actual 'wear and tear' cases. We have lived in different house before for almost 5 years and it was much older and we have never had problems like these.

"Severe leak!"

Suffered a leak as the fixtures in the bath were not fitted properly.
The response is simple that it’s passed 2 year warranty.
We have damp everywhere now that we have to pay for as a result of their poor work.
Would never recommend or buy from them.

Don’t buy from this company They changed the lease after I brought the flat and allowed my arrogant neighbors laminate flooring. I can hear everything including sexual acts disgusting! Croudace as pathetic the flat is so poorly built, customer services need training including the legal team the women I have been dealing with is a moron, she doesn’t read emails correctly and her answers are pathetic kind of reminds me of a parrot! You changed the lease after the purchased the flat, and won’t send me a copy! My Solictior stated only one copy has been issued. I have a medical issue that the loud banging and thumping doesn’t help and Croudace do not Care once they have your money that’s it. Your a disgusting company.
