"Job well done"
Despite the unexpected delay in starting, possibly due in part to the awful weather this year, Daniel and his team have completed the job which we are very pleased with.
Like most tradesmen they were juggling several jobs at the same time so there were some gaps during the process, however at each interval the site was left very tidy and usable.
Daniel was very approachable and attentive to our requirements, always happy to alter things slightly and was very easy to work with. He always replied to calls and text messages the same day.
I would have no problems with recommending this Company and am delighted with the end result

"Tarmac repairs to driveway"
Tarmac repairs to driveway. Work carried out during the week, preparation and removal of old, uneven tarmac. Resetting driveway edging and concreting. End of week completion of actual new tarmac. Very well organised workforce. First class job. Highly recommended

"Go with other companies"
Initially contacted in March as said has availability in April. Quote revived and job agreed promptly and told to await a start, we chased Daniel as heard nothing, then told would start in June. Messaged again a couple of days before the agreed start date and was told it would be a further month. Eventually started in July after 2x further delays, job took a total of 10 weeks, we were told it would be completed in 4 days. We had issues with the tiles that clearly didn’t match, an issue which we had to flag up, this led to a dispute between Red rose and the suppliers, however how can an experienced landscaper lay tiles that clearly don’t match. After lots of chasing of both red rose and supplier this was eventually rectified, job was eventually completed to a decent standard however we cannot recommend Red rose as there was no communication throughout, there was periods we were left wondering if the job would ever be completed as texts and calls went unanswered - would advise to go with other companies who will equally as a good a job without the constant hassle and stress.

"Well worth the 9 month wait."
Well worth the 9 month wait.
I moved to the area a year ago and the garden like the house needed a full overhaul.
It was always going to be a big expensive job and Red Rose price was in line with my expectations.
I had heard that they were a good landscaping company, therefore I expected a wait. Bad weather and Covid delayed them a month or two but again, this was only to be expected.
A full team of 5 worked on the rear, side and front in unison. They worked quickly and professionally and made sure the site was secure and tidy at the end of day.
I can highly recommend the guys, but please be prepared for a wait.
I am so made in with the finished product.

Complaint - Red Rose Surfacing
In July of 2021 I arranged to have a new driveway installed by Red Rose Surfacing.
At the time, Red Rose representative, Daniel, who had surveyed the job and given a quote, also advised me that - due to orders already on the books - the work could only be carried out in January of 2022.
Throughout the ensuing months I received no word of any changes to the schedule. So, when January arrived, I fully expected the work to be completed. In the third week of January, I got in touch with Daniel, who explained that they were experiencing a backlog with work due to the pandemic. The work on my driveway had had to be postponed until February.
I accepted this, understanding that the pandemic had cause much disruption to many business schedules and work throughout the country. I looked forward to the work on my driveway being completed in February. However, once again I was in for disappointment.
By February 25th, nothing had been done. No workmen appeared at my door. No phone calls were received advising me of when the work was due to begin. So I phoned the offices of Red Rose Surfacing and was told that Daniel was busy but would phone me back later that day.
No phone call was received.
The following day was Friday and I waited throughout the day for the phone call from Daniel.
No phone call came.
On Saturday February 27th, I rang the company offices again but only a voice-answering machine was available. I left another message for Daniel, saying that I simply wanted to know what was happening and could he please ring and advise me.
Saturday and Sunday passed without any word.
On Monday I waited in vain for a phone call from the elusive Daniel.
Another full day passed.
On Tuesday I made an early morning phone call to the Red Rose offices and left a message for Daniel.
Nothing heard back.
An hour later, I left another message.
Nothing heard back.
Finally, I looked on the company’s website and got their mobile number and it was then I managed, at last, to speak with Daniel, who explained that he had received my messages but couldn’t reply as he was driving at the time. (As those messages were left on the company’s office answering machine, I doubted this explanation).
The upshot was that Daniel now told me that Red Rose Surfacing had such a backlog of work, they would not be able to get to my driveway until next AUGUST!
I was dumbstruck.
There were no words of apology, no offers of recompense or compensation.
It was the most egregious, disdainful and disagreeable treatment I ever experienced from a company.
Needless to say, I am unable to recommend Red Rose Surfaces to anyone who might be thinking of having a new driveway installation.
