I had an issue with a smart charger that I bought in April 2023. Because it over 30 days since I had purchased it from Amazon they wouldn't replace and advised me to contact Sealey directly. This I did and the Tech dept replaced the unit by post. Excellent customer service. Thanks Adam. 👍👍👍 Phil

"SPB160W the Worst external Power bank I've ever purchased"
The SPB160W is the only power bank I've ever owned that has failed to charge or be reset and then recharged due to it allegedly falling below 40% charge. It has only been used half a dozen times. 18 months old.
I have dozens of others that all still work 5 plus years later. Tech support were not helpful. To me this sounds like a faulty chipset on the BMS that once triggered goes into a loop preventing the unit from recharging. Even though the internal 18650 batteries all are holding a combined 11volt plus charge.
So I'll desolder, charge and test each battery externally and put back in, if that fixes the issue it will prove that the BMS is substandard. As there are no signs of damage, overheating etc internally.
They don't even offer a replacement / inspection / disposal option. Not that I would dispose of 12 perfectly good 18650 batteries that should last a decade or more.
Final note: This attitude towards a disposable way of life / potential design flaw can in no way be a positive step towards so called climate initiative or carbon neutral goals.
Poor show Sealey over priced and under performing. You could design much better for way less than the nearly ÂŁ230.00 you're charging for this white elephant.

What makes the service so good is when it goes wrong, its put right without quibble. Broken tools are replaced with such efficiency it makes buying the next Sealey tool a no brainer!
