"Very easy to use"

We are using this system to automate football pitch bookings. The system is very easy to set up and maintain as an administrator. The choice of themes are good and allowed us to create a personalised webpage that is simple and easy for our coaches. The dashboard is good for us to track the bookings and the info the coaches receive relating to their bookings is also good.

"Doesn’t Get Much Better"

Honestly, the most in-depth and thorough booking system I’ve tried and stuck with. The in take forms are huge and the mobile version looks elegant. I wish they had a mobile app cause that would really be a game changer! Other than that I highly recommend simply book , especially if there’s important questions and things to
know of prior to an appointment being made

"Finally a professional Booking System"

What I liked the most is that in just a few minutes I already had an up and running booking website. Then after fine tuning my service offerings and time availabilities I could start accepting online bookings literally within half an hour.

My booking website now looks very professional and the more I get to know the system the more I like it. They offer endless features like accepting online payments, selling gift cards, sending promotions during less busy times etc. I have started to use the promotions and it works great, but I have yet to explore some features as there are so many.

When I was setting up the promotions I needed a little help, contacted the Live Chat and got an immediate feedback. So far I love it!

"I am extremely unhappy with SimplyBook"

I am extremely unhappy with SimplyBook. I did a trial initially and everything looked great. The website layout, everything. But I need to add on custom features to actually get the functionality that I wanted. After the Trial period I purchased the lowest package but within an hour realised that I needed more custom features, so I purchased the bigger package on the same day.

There is no phone support. So every time I needed to find out which custom feature I needed, I was chatting. Every person gave me different advice. So, I have now ended up with a booking website, but after all the time wastage on chat, it turns out that NONE of the custom features, and hence what I paid for is actually not useful or functional.

1. Custom Feature for Time Zone: If I make a booking for a client in a different time zone, they get the appointment in MY TIME ZONE! How perfect!? The customers are always confused now because the appointment is in my time zone. So I deleted the client I created and asked them to create their own user, and now my client has LOST ALL the appointments. And now, even when I book the appointment for her, she gets it in my time zone!! Absolutely ridiculous!

2. Custom Feature Coupons & Gift Cards: If a client has paid you 100 Euros to redeem against hours, you cannot issue coupon codes so they can redeem the appointments every time they book an appointment. For this, I was given different advice from different chat reps. Someone said, "You need Memberships", someone said "You need Packages", someone said, "You need Coupons and Gift Cards", someone said, "You need Rewards and Referrals". And guess what?? NONE OF THEM DO WHAT I NEED THEM TO DO!! And oh this feature can only be activated with TWO other custom features. BUT it does not work as it should and as other Scheduling Websites work!

3. Custom Feature Calendar Sync - Only syncs one calendar at a time. and the customers do not get an option to add it to the calendar. Only the ADMIN!

4. I had issues with the template. I was told I needed CSS custom feature. Of course, i went for the package with 8 custom features. But guess what? I did not need it, as the issue was from their end, not mine!!!

5. If you want appointments at 30 minute intervals YOU NEED, guess what? ANOTHER CUSTOM FEATURE, of course!!!

SimplyBook looks great! But the functionality is extremely primitive. It does not support the functionality like Acuity Scheduling. Also, it feels like those budget airlines, "If you would like to breathe, you need to purchase the air."

I need my money back, because after having spent hours on end trying to set up my booking website, I am not getting what I need and as a result I am going to have to stick to Acuity Scheduling. Even though the client scheduling page does not look great on Acuity, it does EVERY SINGLE THING that it needs to, without asking to activate custom features and asking for payment for every little thing.

Thanks for your response here. I still don’t seem to have received a response on my email regarding the issues.

I find it amusing, that you feel I haven’t taken the tome to figure out your system before paying for a package. This is my business and do you really believe that someone would just go ahead with a company without doing all the research. And honestly, if it takes any more time to figure out your system, then it is not an efficient solution for other businesses.

Also, I understand that it is your Defense mechanism to tell the customer that they are wrong. But try Training your “Live Help“ because they have helped me test and re-test the coupons option and informed me that it isn’t working and that you do not OFFER that service at the moment.

As for the 30 minute intervals, I was unable to book for the client at half past and I was informed, yet again, by your “Live Help” that I needed to activate the feature to be able to book at half past. After which it magically worked!

As for the TIME ZONE, this is the most important, as my clients are in a different time zone. I was informed by your “Live Help”, that if I create the appointments, they would get the appointment in my time zone. Needless to say I have tested this with my clients and they have informed me that they are getting the appointments in my time zone. So much so that they were waiting for OUR appointment an hour before it was meant to start because they received it in my time zone. While setting up a client, it does not give me the option to select the time zone of the customer. I think you would know this already. So I have deleted the client and asked the customer directly to create a user for themselves and then I tried booking the appointment for them and it is still in my time zone.

I wish you would appreciate that I haven’t just gone ahead and given this review, because I felt like it. I have tested, re tested, with customers with your Live Help and over and over again it had been the same. Which has resulted in this review. I find it disappointing that you don’t believe that a customer has gone through it at the hands of your life help and that I have not written LIES here, because I felt like it. This is MY BUSINESS! And I am losing money because of SimplyBook, whether you like it or not!!!

There is no customer service on the phone, all is done online through chat. Staff are incredibly unhelpful, do not provide relevant answer very automated cut and paste responses, issues left unresolved. I will be changing to an alternative service due to this.

"Lots of decent features however the…"

Lots of decent features however the Facebook integration didn't work even though simply book said it was successful. I paid in full for the year and it wasn't long before it was asking me for more money. I also didn't like the fact I was trusting them with my clients data which can be shared with other companies. I really couldn't be bothered to argue about it so after a month of usage I asked if I could pay them for what I owed them and have the rest of the money back. Obviously this was a modern takes money and doesn't give it back company. Thanks for pointing out the section and paragraph terms none of us ever read

"Enjoying the UX on this site"

Enjoying the UX on this site - super simple to navigate. Im a newb when it comes to booking systems so cant compare with others in the market or what the value is compared to others. I just know its simplified my booking process for both me and my clients. I could do with a few mins going through what else the site could offer me, but as time is super short its something ill need to do when I get a mo.
