The winter candy or aniseed arrived soon after I ordered it. I was very pleased to get the bars because I have become enamoured of the aniseed flavour. It's a very distinct flavour and I haven't always liked it, but recently I can't get enough of it. Funny how your tastes can change. Anyone who thinks they don't like the flavour should try it again, just to make sure.

I haven't had any mint cake in over 3 decades and the memories of my teen years hiking the Lake District munching on mint cake came flooding back at the first bite. Have to be cautious now I'm old and diabetic, so no more plowing through a couple of them in a day! But a nice treat every now and then.
