"This company is a joke rejecting a…"
This company is a joke rejecting a claim simply because the package has not been opened within 15 days. I will make sure to not use them in the future again and take my business elsewhere. One of those companies that get you by the small print and have as unfavorable terms as they possibly can. Not recommended. Stay away.

"Shipsurance service is just great"
I have been using Shipsurance service to insure for my shipment for a few years, and they have reimbursed me a few times when the shipment was lost. To file for a Loss Claim, Shipsurance will need the customer to complete a very simple online affidavit from (3-4 clicks to complete) to verify the shipment was lost. Recently, I had a customer who refused to cooperate to fill out this simple form, and eBay would not help me at all and just refunded this customer with my funds. I appealed to Shipsurance for their help in reviewing this loss claim, and they came to swing for me and fully reimbursed me for this case almost immediately. Shipsurance is truly wonderful..... It empowers me to expand my sales globally with a peace of mind. Thank you, Shipsurance.

"Would Definitely Use Again"
This was my first time using Shipsurance for a claim, and I was very happy with my experience. It was so quick, easy, and they took care of my issue (which is not what USPS did). I also liked that I could get an e-check because then I had my money very quickly.

"Scammers"
Scammers. Of course Etsy collaborates with these jokers. Here is one of many situations I ran into in which no ethical customer service was received. Sold a concert T-Shirt to a buyer. Paid for the flat rate shipping with appropriate coverage in case it was lost or damaged. Never showed up and customer requested a refund. Pretty fair for online shopping these days. Filed a pain in the ass claim with Shipsurance to re-coup the lost sale. Months later, Shipsurance rep named Emma emails me. States I owe the claim amount back to them as the package was delivered. No way to verify if that was actually the case and or the condition of the original item. The mob should get into this line of work, easy pickings against online sellers.

"Not really a shipping insurance company"
After having to send multiple requested documents by this shipping insurance overtime for my claim of a broken mineral rock they denied my claim (after doing all I was asked for over a week) stating “claim was an excluded commodity”. No other explanation nor stating why it was excluded. Turns out they do not cover ANY mineral rocks for shipping insurance. That’s my entire business so I have wasted money paying shipping insurance because they truly are not a company providing insurance if something is completely out of my hands and mishandled in the shipping process. Incredibly disappointing and I do no recommend this company. They will try to get out of paying for anything on their part.
EDIT: shipsurance contacted me afterwards to accept the refund for this circumstance. I appreciate what they’ve done.

"Unethical company, will try to scam you"
I shipped through pirateship. UPS lost my package and shipsurance is doing everything in their power to avoid paying out. Ridiculous amounts of proof and documentation that UPS wouldn’t even ask for. On top of that, they want to lower my claim value to the lowest price they could find on a used item on eBay! Seriously messed up and unethical.

"Complicated and ridiculous amount of documents they don’t pay out on the claim. They delay."
I submitted a claim for a broken item. I have provided 5 docs and pictures. They have still not paid and keep demanding more pictures. I cannot recommend this company as the time to file a claim is not worth the lack of payment.

"Shipsurance is a SCAM"
Shipsiurance poses as a shipping insurance company eyt denies 100% of its claims. It requires (after SEVERAL SEVERAL) separated asks for additional information down to showing a video of a shipping label being placed onto a box (SERIOUSLY?!!!) This is an INSANE level of proof to have to deliver and as such SHOULD be notified PRIOR to accepting funds to insure packages they will NEVER actually insure.
In effect- this is an INSURANCE SCAM. This MUST be regulated and or fined for it's negligence, abuse and misrepresentation.
