"ARCC Moulton TSR"
Since owning my ARCC Moulton TSR and covering many miles trouble free I ended up with a noisy hub motor. On inspection the nylon gears and bearing had failed, so you would think it would be an easy repair just replacing the planetary gears. ARCC do not keep spare parts only complete proprietary components. The replacement cost quoted was £450 plus carriage.
I am in the process of changing the ARCC drive to Yose Power for a fraction of the cost but keeping the excellent Bosch power tool batteries.

"Brompton Electric conversion to ARCC system"
Last year I purchased an Electric Brompton bike. I love riding the bike and the electric system has allowed me to explore and ride over a thousand miles; but, as any owner will tell you, the battery mount system is very noisy over uneven ground. While this is OK for short journeys I usually ride longer routes, usually 20-40 miles, and found the constant rattling and clunking very aggravating. The only advantage was that it was so loud I didn’t need my bell while riding on cycle routes and towpaths!
I approached ARCC having seen excellent reviews of their system and asked if they would be willing to swop out the Brompton system and replace it with their own. After discussions with their engineer, they said yes, and I booked the bike in.
The service was excellent and prompt and the newly fitted bike arrived just before Xmas. I have ridden 100 miles and not a clunk, rattle or squeak heard. The performance is as good, if not better than the Brompton system, and has a Bluetooth system to control the power settings. Unlike the Brompton, which only lets you use an app on your phone.
While I appreciate this is an expensive solution, it had got to the point I was taking the battery off the bike to ride in peace. This has put a big grin back on my face while riding my Brompton and I’m looking forward to exploring further with it in the future.

"ARCC Moulton 8 speed"
ARCC Moulton 8 speed. Have had my bike now for 1yr, ridden on road, tracks and off road, come rain or shine. Both the Moulton bike and E kit have been flawless. I also have a Swytch kit on a Brompton which is good but not comparable in the quality of manufacture or ride quality to ARCC/Moulton.
The reviews are very misleading, Swytch kit is a basic on/off system based on pedal movement. ARCC is more subtle and sensitive to torque on pedals. Power delivery is smoother, it allows more control and the battery lasts longer. It’s also fantastic when tight control is useful (traffic and off road) because the bike doesn’t shoot forward as soon as the pedals move.
I am now on my 3rd Swytch battery/control pack because they keep failing. A common problem which I presume prompted the redesign of the power pack/bracket combo. If I could afford it, I would get my Brompton converted to ARCC and Ditch the Swytch.
In summary, Swytch is ok but pretty basic and in my experience very unreliable. ARCC is expensive but extremely robust, a dream to ride and has the bonus of using Bosch powertool batteries which are probably far superior to any proprietary E bike battery. I get around 50 miles from a charge in under 1hour (6mAh/216Wh).

"I had my Moulton XTB converted by ARCC…"
I had my Moulton XTB converted by ARCC in June 2022. This review covers my experience of regular using the bike in the 14 months following that. I was delighted with the customer focus of this not-for- profit company and by their skill and attention to detail. I sent my bike to them via Parcelforce, who damaged the bike in transit, despite it being packed in a specially-made reinforced carton costing £30. But ARCC sorted that problem out in a most helpful way. Riding the bike is great fun and, despite being in my mid-seventies, I am now able to cycle up steep gradients with relative ease. The launch control option makes restarts on hills easy. Battery charging is very rapid and automatically controlled. The batteries are super-robust and readily available. All in all, a great product and great service. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for, and the staff are really helpful.

"Superb customer focused company"
We took our newly acquired, secondhand two year old Moulton ARCC bike to have the transfer of ownership completed with an inclusive inspection/service.
From the moment we arrived we were impressed by the welcome from all who spoke to us, the premisses, organisation and cleanliness. A really professional and customer focused group.
I believe they went above and beyond with the inspection as it was more of a service.
Thank you for your excellent treatment of both us and the bike, I will be returning to have your aftermarket kit fitted to my incoming Moulton SST. I will then be able to keep up with my very happy wife on her ARCC Moulton!

"Outstanding product and service"
Excellent customer service, there was a lot of obsticles and time constraints with my order but their team went the extra mile to support me as a customer and did a great job.
On top of that their electrification mod is outstanding, and couldn't recommend it more. They are leagues ahead of any competition and whoever working there that came up with the idea of using Bosch batteries is a genius. I am a very happy customer and can confidently recommend them to friends and family. These guys know what they are doing and you get what you pay for.
The only caveat I would warn about is that this mod does shift the weight balance of the bike. But there is no avoiding this and can be fixed on a Brompton by using an "Easy Wheel Extender".
p.s Having launch control on my Brompton is a blast!

"Great bike, great company, great purchase process"
I've just become the proud owner of a bright yellow Abington. I wanted a very high quality British manufactured bike at a reasonable price. Many manufacturers exploit their UK heritage but then you find the frame and wheels are made in the far east - not ARCC who make the wheels in house as well as the Reynolds steel frame. The bike is really smooth to ride a benefit of the frame and carbon belt drive and although no lightweight it's nimble enough for me to enjoy the Box Hill route near my home. The quality is excellent and I enjoyed the acquisition process incuding a test drive in Cambridge - all the staff are friendly and knowledgable...
