After a rocky start with Fonehub I was worried that I chosen the wrong mobile phone recycler. I received an email from Fonehub two days after posting my mobile off to them via special delivery. I was Informed that they were processing my order but then I received another email the following day with a revised offer of which was no where near my quote online, in fact £60 less which I found insulting. To cut a long story short Fonehub eventually made contact with me to resolve this matter and they offered a decent price for my working Samsung Galaxy 2. Same day payment made as promised and they delivered in the end. All in all not bad but could have been better.

I sent my IPhone 4S in to fonehub and have received an email stating that they have devalued my phone from £155 to £95 based upon 2 things. 1) the home button is sticky / hard to press and 2) the phone is locked to t-mobile.
With regards to 1) it certainly wasn't sticky / hard to press during the 2 years that I was using it and I never noticed any difference between mine & my wife's identical phone and 2) I was under the impression that it was unlocked, and surely if my phone was locked it would be to EE / Orange as displayed on screen when in use??
I responded to the email they sent as promptly as possible, which was same day and well within the 2 days detailed in the mail, so I shall wait and see what response I get, and update this accordingly.

Update. After my initial email I received a revised offer of £120, with a comment that this revision was as part of a good will gesture, but that their assessment was still valid.
I elected to not accept this revised offer and requested that my phone was returned ASAP. In fairness my phone was indeed returned promptly, via recorded delivery. Needless to say I still don't agree with their assessment as I, and nobody else, can detect any stickiness / bad operation of the home key.
I will not use in future.
