"DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE HIGH TECH ORANGE AND GREY SPEC DRAWINGS!"

Purchased and fitted in 2015, my Warmcore 5 leaf aluminum bi-folding doors looked very impressive to begin with. Since then I have had nothing but issue after issue.

Wear and tear happens FAST! The main handle came off with 9 months, had to replace the screw to re tighten which destroyed the screw cover. Exposed screw, at least I can use the door I thought.

The other screw covers all fell off after the first summer, the integral handle needed for pulling the the bi-fold part shut came off, nightmare now to get it to close, just don't use it anymore.

The rubber edging fell off from the bottom letting in a draft. The locking mechanism although adjustable is very tricky to use.

Not sure what else is left to say. The door looks beautiful, its strong, the glass is amazing and the white finish I chose looks as good as new. It definitely does hold in heat too. Thats true.

I do think however for the money paid more quality is required.

"I bought wormcore because I thought they were the best but they are the worst"

I bought wormcore because I thought they were the best how wroug can you be. I got two small bifold doors two French doors one large bifold and a roof section all ordered from Premier in Bolton. Delivery was a nightmare with every excuse under the sun but finally when delivering the big five door bifold and roof we were told they had made the lintel the same size as the doors. yes you are reading this correctly but if that was our only problem. I get wind through every door I recorded 90 decibels the other night and in storm Brian, rain came in as well. We have toilet paper stuffed in the doors so we can sleep. The rubber seals have fallen out. The doors won't close properly and we can't lock the big bifold. Premier did not want to know we had to pay over £300 for a Syneal engineer to come who said we needed four new doors because they are bowed and and great deal of work to correct the seals. premier do not have any fitters and there are no other synseal dealers in the north west but of course it has to be fitters that are use to the wormcore system. I have appealed for help from synseal but so far no help. It is a true nightmare you pay nearly £14000 for doors and frankly they are useless and to have to pay for an engineer to tell you they are useless is scandalous. My only course now is to get a report done independently and sue because Premier and Syneal appear not to want to know

The reply from Synseal useful to the point of being helpful. First we had to pay for the Synseal Engineer you did Not just send him, to come it cost over £300. Second Premier do not have any fitters but are more or less saying if it's not a wormcore fitter the garentee is not valid and despite the Synseal Engineers report saying it's a manufacturing problem they are claiming all down to bad fitting. Syneal provided some other dealers but none in the North West so they are not interested in travelling or in one case had stopped dealing with Synseal.
Please tell me how I get out of this catch 22 situation All I want is doors that work and I don't have to put cello tape and tissue paper in to stop the wind and noise.
This is A Synseal System and Premieris is your sub dealer an you own the brand. So Please Take some responsibility and provide some Real Help not just words

"K2 Conservatories - Absolutely Dreadful!"

Absolutely dreadful! Their quality and service has fallen dramatically over the last few months. DIY kits are being delivered with bits missing, bits wrong, wrong sizes and damaged bits. Getting their customer services to do anything has been a nightmare. It is very difficult to actually get hold of anybody and when we do they promise to ring back but NEVER do. Deliveries of missing/replacement parts to customer sites don't happen on the promised dates or the wrong parts are sent. They simply ignore support tickets raised on their system. Avoid them like the plague!

"Bad Warmcore installation and little support from Synseal"

We had our spangly new Warmcore bifolds badly installed in 2015 - the main security door was poorly aligned with frame and consequently the door wouldn't lock easily; we had to physically force the handle up to free up the lock mechanism. We knew nothing of the installer other than his first name and the (hitherto excellent) builder who hired him now seems to have gone to ground - both suggested initially the alignment would get better with time & useage; it hasn't. In 2016 the handles snapped off and now the striplock gearbox has broken - the steel cog inside has physically snapped with the force required to activate the lock. The gearbox is neither generic nor commercially available - it can only be bought from Synseal (via a trade account) in packs of 5 (i.e. costing £00's!) along with the rest of the striplock mechanism - so we are at a loss as to how we can resolve the problem. Synseal just referred us to the installer - who they had no record of - after the handles snapped (our locksmith was able to track identical replacements down after a mammoth google session!) and they have not responded to our email requesting assistance with the gearbox issue. Our only hope appears to be finding a Warmcore fabricator who might be willing to sell us a gearbox; that or buying the nearest fitting (ERA Saracen) gearbox and hoping our locksmith can adapt it. Perhaps I am naive and this is the business model for all such manufacturing companies, but I had hoped that when something went wrong with our product - albeit at the installation stage - we'd be able to get at least some help from Synseal.

In short, a tremendous product, but woe betide anything going wrong with the fabrication/installation. Get to know your installer if you find him through your builder and if there's *anything* not quite right make like a dog with a bone until they get it working perfectly.

*Update* Synseal have at least readily provided the names of some local fabricators who might be able to assist.

"Just had Warmcore triple glazed/ …"

Just had Warmcore triple glazed/ bi-fold door installed with the last week. second time i opened them, they came off the hinges. These triple glaze units are a dangerous hazard. i have 100kg of glass hanging off a single tiny hinge. I have a young daughter and am worried it might fall on her or fall on anyone! The installation company are at a loss, as they have 'adjusted' it three times. May need to report to trading standards as I dont think these doors are designed well and are a health and Safety Hazard. If anyone else has had a similar experience please get in contact.

Bought Warmcore triple glazed bifold doors and windows big mistake! Sent wrong glass twice. Doors are sagging on hinges and a door handle broke off due to poor design. Customer support is nil, still waiting for what to do with my broken door handle.

"Avoid Warmcore BI Folds.... I have/am going through hell!"

I have never written a review till now but I am fuming based on my experience and hopefully this will help you in some way.

After careful research and looking that their marketing material I chose the Warmcore products for my home. I went through an independent glazing supplier that sources windows directly through Synseal. This included 2 sets of BI folds and a large window, sadly the experience and products received to date have significantly fell below expectations and continue to cause problems!

In summary I would avoid this product and stick to a more established BI fold manufacturers as this is not a cheap purchase hence stick to companies that have a proven delivery record and tried and tested product and after sales.

I placed my order back in early June with an expected 10 day lead time which I thought was too good to be true, when most other reputable manufactures state typically 4-5 weeks, yet we are in Aug and the full order has not been fulfilled and aftersales is shocking.

I so regret placing my order as the experience has been hellish. There has been a problems at every stage with delayed delivery, incomplete orders, missed/last minute change to deliver dates, wrong parts and substandard/unsafe product and awful communication/aftersales .

Not only have these problems caused me significant additional cost but also many sleepless nights with having to live in a unsecured home whilst delivery dates shift and missing parts never arrive as promised ...Some are still missing may I add but I have no idea of when they will be delivered hence my frustration.

I am hoping the missing parts delivery will be resolved in the next few days or weeks if these guys can be bothered (Which is coming on 4 weeks now, however still no news which I think is a disgrace!)

What I don’t think is resolvable and more fundamental is the design of the BI fold windows, these are not great especially if you opt for triple glaze on certain configurations. The slim hinge/bolts “BEND” in the stacked position under the weight of the heavy triple glazed windows, this was observed on initial installation by a highly qualified fitter. My chosen fitter (10yrs+ in BI fold fitting and regularly repairs poor installations by general double glazing fitters or builders) gave them a year and suggested I should avoid keeping them in the open position for long periods!?? So I cant keep the BI folds open which is a little nuts!

He has seen similar issues with earlier design attempts from the likes of more established BI fold manufacturers especially with triple glazing. Where this type of hinge/track design is used. Warmcore BI fold is a new window design and I suspect they are still discovering some the problems, though I have raised this through the supplier no one has got back to me with proper response... See my problems with after sales with these guys!!!

The worst of all was this weekend, I decided to open these windows for 1hr as it was sunny, whist in the stacked position my 7yrs old pulled on the door handle to close it and the BI Fold door jumped out off the track that it sits on. Me and wife managed to slip it back in after nearly 30 mins of trying, but it was a scary experience !!! The safety of this product is shocking, please avoid if you have young children....Rant/Review completed 
