"Highly recommend"

Rushing in 5 minutes before closing time for passport photos I was made welcome and the pictures were taken unhurriedly - I was offered a retake and various shots to choose from and was given both the cut paper ones and sent a digital one for a very reasonable £6. This all with a professional set up. Highly recommend!!

"A dreadful experience for a simple commercial photoshoot"

I have been in the advertising industry for over 42 years, 28 years of those have been self employed. I have never had such a bad photographic experience as I have recently experienced with PhotoLesk, despite using this company for a similar shoot a few years ago.

I had a very simple commercial shoot to do - two boxes and their contents for consumer advertising on behalf of my client. The image would be used as a cut out against a white background. I booked a 2 hour slot to attend the studio on Monday 18th November 2024. I was however, asked to drop the product to Eyal before hand - he told me I did not have to attend the shoot. I have done photoshoots where I have not attended, so I was not unduly worried. I took product to the shop on Wednesday 13th November, giving Eyal a very comprehensive brief, along with copies of my clients current advertisement, the competitors advertisement and our new design, which gave a very clear indication reasons why we could not use our current computer generated images.

Eyal made no notes. It took 8 days and 28 images, to achieve an image I felt was potentially usable. An image which contained two boxes and the box contents - a bottle of liquid and a blister pack of tablets.

Eyal kept sending me screen grab images of just the boxes or their contents - not a group shot, despite emails asking for all the contents to be included in the shot. In one email I had to explain that I had to justify the photo shoot because I already had computer generated images of the individual products. I had images where he had placed the bottle in front of the product name on the box, which indicated a lack of attention. I repeatedly asked that the red cast to the white of the packs and the lighting to the front of the packs be addressed, but he failed to do this - telling me it wasn't possible - which I know is untrue. In the end I hoped that my designer could colour correct the final image because I was starting to get timing issues with magazine deadlines so I accepted the image. My designer also stated that there was a red cast on the boxes.

I had to pay before the final jpeg was supplied and at that point the image which was sent was absolutely dreadful. It contained blurred text in the white areas of the pack where there was no text, and blurred illustrations - amongst other things. After the first round of corrections which I gave Eyal, my designer found more issues. I believe that Eyal, rather than do a very simple photoshoot, getting the lighting correct at camera stage, was trying to create the image using individual elements and layers on a computer - and the outcome was unskilled and unsuccessful.

I paid £300 for a shot which was lacking in depth, insufficient lighting to the front of the packs and packs which had a red cast. It was expensive and unusable. I had agreed to the quoted cost for ease due to imminent magazine deadlines, despite knowing that it was probably around double the cost I should have incurred for such an exercise, having just paid £450 for a full days shoot in Manchester.

I reshot the image with Priddy's in Minehead on Monday 2nd December. They could also see a red cast on the image which I showed them. It took 1.5 hours whilst I was at the studio. I had an image waiting for me when I arrived back at the office and it cost me £78.00. I managed to substitute the new image into advertisements which had already been supplied to various magazines, despite being on deadlines.

I sent two copies of my clients advertisement to PhotoLesk - one which contained his image and the second version contained the image from Priddy’s. It is abundantly clear that there is a viable issue with the image supplied from PhotoLesk. Three different computers all confirmed a red cast to the image.

I asked for a full refund or advised that I would write a review of my experience - they chose that I write this review.

I am fully aware that mistakes happen - but I am a firm believer it is how you correct the mistake which is important. I am also a firm believer that the client is always right.

PhotoLesk have entered into arguments with me, trying to justify actions which cannot be justified. I found the wife to be particularly argumentative. They claim they did not understand my brief - but never rang to question anything. They claim that my brief kept changing, which is untrue - I always asked for a simple group pack shot containing two boxes and two items of product. They have made accusations against me of rude and abusive behaviour which is again untrue - and they have threatened me in writing with the police if I enter onto their premises. They refuse to accept that email evidence disputes all their claims and that the image they supplied was sub standard and not what would be expected by a professional photographic studio.

I have now raised a dispute with my bank over this.

"Stunning wedding photos! Highly recommended. "

We were lucky enough to ask Photo Lesk to capture images of our wedding and the results were simply stunning! We took advantage of the engagement photo shoot prior to our big day which really helped put us at ease and prepared us for what to expect on the wedding day. Eyal's naturally confident and energetic personality made interactions with our guests effortless, entertaining and fun throughout. He had done his research with a venue visit and talking to those integral to the day's events. He was there at every photo opportunity, even capturing some stunning sunset shots! We received so many amazing photos to cherish which gave us a near impossible task of selecting our favourites for the exquisitely produced physical album. Thank you so much Eyal, we could not be happier and highly recommend your photography to others.

"Incredible pet portrait session"

I booked a pet portrait for my dog and it was amazing! This was my first time having photos professionally done. Eyal made sure my dog and I felt welcomed and relaxed, and encouraged her to explore the studio space. The photos I saw during the shoot were incredible and I can't wait to see the rest of them.
