"Avoid this agency!"

By trusting this agency and the Docter they work with,I now need reconstructed surgery!
I booked a surgery in Turkey,Izmir area with them in 2023, because I liked the idea of paying by credit card. I was told that if I pay by credit card and if anything goes wrong I can claim my money back. What I didn't know is that you can only claim if you pay the clinic/hospital directly if you are not happy with the surgery.
On the website they claim to fly you back if the surgery was not successful and have a revision and they will pay for everything.
I've been trying to get hold of them,but they seem to have disappeared.After I had my surgery I could see right away that something was wrong. I was told by the doctor and the team at carebycarla that with time everything will look normal.After 3 months I decided to seek a second opinion and my worries were confirmed. I told the correspondent in Turkey that I was right all along and that I will think about what I want to do and come back to them. They never responded to my messages.

I hope no-one else gets tricked by this agency. I now need reconstructed surgery because I believed in them and the Doctor they worked with.

"Totally useless"

Totally useless. I booked my surgery through their coordinator Pam and she told me she would be in contact nearer the time. She seemed great at the beginning and I really felt confident in my initial choice. I then contact her as my surgery dates were fast approaching and I hadn’t heard anything. I never received a reply. I then called the number but couldn’t get through. After a few weeks of trying to get hold of anyone from the company I still hadn’t been successful in tracking anyone down! They just ignored my messages etc…so in a panic I managed to speak to the hospital direct. They confirmed although they had other people booked in with Care by Carla (so they clearly were still booking people in) they had no record of me. Also the information she gave me was wrong and they couldn’t preform the op that she had recommended. Luckily I managed to speak to a coordinator directly linked to the hospital and he has been amazing. Completely no contact from her still and no explanation. I had since booked directly myself. Avoid!!! Made a very stressful time even more stressful.

"Clean, honest and respectable company"

I contacted many medical tourism clinics in Turkey, but I felt uncomfortable with all of them. They weren’t straightforward about the surgeons they work with, their leak rate, how many surgeries their surgeons performed per day and their prices were too low for quality service to be part of the deal. I also thought it strange that they wanted me to pay in cash once I arrived in Turkey. Everything felt uncomfortably dishonest.

With Care by Carla I got a completely different feeling. I knew that I was dealing with a UK company which complies with UK and European laws, and not some Turkish tourism company which would take my cash and then block me if I ever encountered a problem.

I was able to make protected payments for my Gastric Sleeve using my credit card. My payments were made from France to a European bank account, and I knew that I could reclaim my payment if there was ever a problem.

Care by Carla’s surgeon was a highly educated man who spoke perfect English. The hospital was in a posh neighbourhood in Istanbul. The service I received from the staff at Carla was excellent.

Clean, honest and respectable is how I would resume my experience.

"Best MMO Experience EVER!"

I am SO happy I found Care by Carla! It has been eight weeks since my Mummy Makeover (MMO) and I am already thrilled with the result! I would highly recommend Carla to all women considering plastic surgery in the breasts, tummy, arms, thighs, and buttocks areas. This is THE place for Mummy Makeovers. Their surgeons are the best and the brightest you can find in Turkey. They are all certified by the European Board of Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS) which made me feel very safe. I also felt safe knowing that my surgeon is a woman, a university professor, and one of the best-known surgeons internationally. It was clear when I met my surgeon that she was passionate about her work and respectful of her patients. I first had a video conference with her when I was still in France. I then sat with her in her office again in Turkey for several hours the day before my procedure. She took the time to go over my expectations, my medical history and explained in detail the risks associated with the procedure. She also used a 3D simulation device to show me what I can expect to look like after the healing went down. The incisions made during surgery were neat and healed beautifully. I receive a 5-star service from the staff at Care by Carla which was with me from the moment I landed in Turkey to the moment I left. They even arranged for a car to pick me up from my home and take me to the airport. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend.

"Gynecomastia and Lipo wit Carla"

I had been researching medical clinics in Turkey for some time before I found Carla. As a man wishing to undergo plastic surgery, I felt very self-conscious, and I didn’t know where to start my search. The clinics I spoke to in Turkey made me feel very uncomfortable and I felt a huge cultural difference which made me feel very unsafe. I didn’t feel like they had my best interest in mind but were rather interested in getting my money by offering me the cheapest price possible. When I discovered the option of having a UK medical travel clinic help me organise my procedure and find one of the best surgeons in Turkey, I felt relieved. When I met with Dr. Billur I instantly felt at easy. She is a brilliant woman who was educated in the UK and who is a plastic surgery professor. She took the time to meet with me the day before my surgery and went over all my questions and concerns. Her English was perfect, so I didn’t fear anything being lost in translation. My gynecomastia and liposuction procedure went extremely well and the healing was smooth. I feel more confident in my body today and I wholeheartedly recommend Care by Carla.

"Rhinoplasty Lip Lift and Fat Transfer with Carla"

Care by Carla was the greatest discovery of my life. This medical travel clinic was a life saver and I realise everyday how lucky I am to have found them when I see stories of botched surgeries in Turkey.

I had an ultrasonic rhinoplasty, a lip lift and fat transfer to the forehead (all in one session) with their specialist surgeon Dr. Alhan.

Because a closed rhinoplasty technique was used, my bruising and swelling was minimal and I was back to normal in one week. My nose looks natural and has preserved its flexibility and natural movement.

My lip lift has given me a fuller look and I no longer need to resort to filler. The incision is well hidden underneath my nose and no one has noticed that I got a lip lift.

I had had a video session with Dr. Alhan prior to arriving to Turkey and he really took the time to understand the result that was looking for. I also met him the day before my surgery and he went over my medical history, explained all the risks associated with the procedure, answered all my questions and performed a result simulation.

The surgery went smoothly and I woke up with minimal pain and discomfort. The surgeon came to visit me when I woke up and I was welcome to visit him at his clinic any time I wanted. At the end of the 7 days he removed my cast and I was ready to travel back to New York.

I highly recommend Care by Carla and I can attest to the quality care and treatment they offer their patients.

"Smooth Sailing through Breast Augmentation"

I booked by beast augmentation procedure through Carla. Everything was taken care of, even the plane tickets, and thank God for that because I ended up missing my flight to Istanbul.

Luckily Carla is a member of ATOL which meant that my tickets were insured and I was able to claim the money back.

Once I made it to Istanbul my carer Sandra was waiting for me at the airport. I was transferred to the hotel in a VIP car and I was able to meet my surgeon (a lovely woman who spoke perfect English) the day before my surgery in her state-of-the-art office.

The surgeon spent a total of 3 hours with me discussing different breast sizes and covering my medical history and surgery risks in detail.

She used a 3D simulator to let me see how different sizes would look on me. This took out the guess work and I was able to know exactly what my breasts would look like with the size I chose.

Post op I woke up in a clean hospital with staff which all spoke English. Sandra was by my side through my time in the hospital and even slept on the sofa bed in my room.

I was up and able to walk the following day. My incisions were beautifully done and I didn't feel any pain or discomfort. The surgeon herself came to check up on me and change my dressings. This was not done by a nurse.

Once I was discharged from the hospital I was able to meet with the surgeon on a daily basis in her office outside the hospital.

My experience was wonderful and I recommend Carla to all patients looking for quality medical treatments in Turkey.
