"Can’t fault them whatsoever!"

So it will be 2 weeks tomorrow since I had my final appointment getting my teeth done in turkey and I wanted to leave a detailed review with my thoughts. I went to Sevil Smile Studio Antalya clinic and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

I was terrified this was going to be the biggest irreversible mistake ever but I was so wrong. Firstly, I chose the free hotel deal and I would recommend this to anyone planning to travel alone. I brought a book with me thinking I’d be spending a lot of time alone and I didn’t get to read one page!! There was around 20-30 other people all there for dental work too from various clinics and you instantly become mates because you’re all in the same boat! I didn’t eat out alone once and always knew people going to the clinic at the same time as me.

Now to the actual clinic and procedure, I will start with the positives (only a few negatives but worth a mention)

As for the clinic, it is beautiful. It does not feel clinical whatsoever. It feels like a mixture between a fancy hotel and a fancy office with the bustle of work going on. Staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. There is an air conditioned indoor eating space or you can sit outside with loads of tables, chairs and beanbags on the grass overlooking the ocean. There is a complimentary drinks bar where you can get frappes, fancy coffees, soft drinks all day (and whoever is with you e.g partners etc). The actual dental rooms are spotless and fully lifted out. The place is like a maze when you’re out the back and there is about 3 floors!

The procedure itself I’m not going to lie, is not great. Getting your teeth shaved doesn’t hurt per say as you are completely numbed up but it’s still very invasive and uncomfortable. Prepare to be COVERED in your own dribble and unable to move your face once you’re done for about 3 hours.

My dentist Emre was fabulous. He was kind, gentle and took his time explaining everything to me. I have had a phobia of the dentist for a long time because in the UK I find generally they can be quite impersonal and stand offish. Not here! He was cracking jokes, spoke amazing English and was singing along to the playlist I put on for my appointment (apparently he also liked Linkin Park lol) so if you are nervous of judgement, people who don’t speak English and cold awkward time spent in the chair this is not the case! Literally can’t fault him at all.

Temp teeth are not the best, but against advice I pretty much ate whatever I wanted and just chopped everything up extra small to make sure I could stick it at the back of my mouth to chew on my real teeth.

I chose the colour 0.5 and natural smile and I’m over the moon with them. I personally think they look very natural and have had loads of compliments from people telling me they would never even know they were veneers!

Now for the negative, we did have one issue one night where my appointment was 2.5 hours late. This was because the patient before me had a lot of issues in the chair which is fair enough, nothing you can do about that. The problem was I was waiting downstairs with a group of friends who were waiting with me (my appointment was meant to be at 9:30pm) and when I asked how long it would be, I was told 1.5 hours in that my dentist was ready and taken upstairs. I was then left alone in a room for an hour and I felt like this was done so it seemed like they were doing SOMETHING but I’d rather they had been honest and just left me downstairs with my friends.

That same night, I was supposed to be having my teeth fitted but the amends I had asked for had not been made by the technicians so I had to wait another day to get them on.

However, despite these negatives, as I was walking back to the hotel that night I had a text from dr sevil herself apologising for what had happened, the next day my dentist told me he went to the lab himself to check my teeth in the morning and they completely dealt with the issues perfectly so actually, I can’t fault them.

Overall, it’s been incredible, I’d do it again in a heartbeat and I’m recommending them to everyone!!!!
