Booked 3 MONTHS AGO!!! about to go in 2 days didn't have any confirmation from the 3rd of November... Was going to be a rare sister day out and 2 days before I get an email saying they don't do it anymore DESPITE multiple times trying to get in contact!!! Just dont... they seem like a really unbothered company... going back to red letter days now for a refund.

"Very disappointing workshop"
Very disappointed with our workshop experience at The Soap Loaf Company. Firstly there was long delays in response to emails and phone messages, then dates and times offered were withdrawn and changed.
The woman who ran the workshop didn't introduce herself, gave little instruction about quantities, complementary ingredients and methods, seemed quite disorganised and disinterested. We were given written information about making shampoo, which none of us were actually making. The 2-hour session lasted barely 90 minutes and the containers for our products were grubby cardboard tubs and had no liners so were unsuitable to be used as gifts. The best thing about our experience were the other participants with whom we had a bit of banter and a laugh.

"Unreliable and delusional"
Booked an afternoon tea workshop session using a gift voucher and paid a £20 deposit for two extra people. All was confirmed yet on the day we arrived to a locked shop. The owner didn't show up and wasn't answering the phone. Eventually heard from her that there'd been a mix up; our booking wasn't in the diary and she asked for us to rearrange. We'd already travelled a fair way to get there and didn't have much confidence the same wouldn't happen again so asked for a refund instead. The owner then stopped replying to messages for days at a time and it took two weeks of chasing to get our deposit money back (Paypal refunded the gift voucher instantly with no problem). In that time I left a single comment on their Facebook page asking for a reply to my messages and was blocked and the owner then accused me of "trolling". She also seemed to think that she was entitled to keep our deposit despite it being her who failed to honour the booking! Don't be lured in by seemingly high ratings on other platforms, the more recent reviews show multiple people having similar experiences.

"Awful company. Terrible party experience avoid"
I booked my daughter's 6th birthday party here. It took weeks to respond to each email I sent. I emailed to confirm number just under 3 weeks before and never received a response.
Day of the party and we arrived around 10-15 mins before and got told we were too early and had to wait outside.
We went in and the host was terrible. She would say something to the kids then wander off and hide behind the counter for ages. She didn't engage with them much at all and myself and some of the other parents were trying to figure out what to do.
Time for food and I paid £6 per head for food that wasn't even worth £2 a head and hardly any of the kids ate it. It was absolutely pathetic. It took 15-20 mins to get each child a drink which is absolutely ridiculous.
The lack of communication both before the party and on the day of was so poor.
In addition when I was trying to pay another customer came in and instead of making them wait 30 seconds whilst I paid She made me wait 5-10 minutes whilst she served him. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I can't believe they're still in business.
It's a lovely concept but run by people that clearly don't care about the actual paying customer!

"Very poor experience"
Very poor experience, the owner was very hard to contact and did not show up for our session after we had booked it. She did not answer the phone or any messages so we were not able to get into the building. She later told us she was in hospital and her staff were ill with covid but only told us this after our appointment time. The people who were booked in for the session before us had been waiting outside for an hour, also with no communication from the owner. She has still not refunded us 10 days later. Avoid at all costs.

"Terrible customer service"
Terrible customer service, 3 times have been cancelled with less than 24 hours notice - already has money from voucher purchase so clearly doesn’t care. Have asked for refund and given ample opportunity to resolve before posting negative reviews. AVOID

"Rude, aggressive and doesn't communicate"
Received a voucher which I tried to book for months. The owner does not answer the phone and regularly went days without answering text messages. Eventually she texted me at 11pm and was rude and aggressive saying I would get a refund.

"Never delivered item, impossible to contact"
Placed an order online, still waiting for it to be delivered a month later. They don't reply to emails, phone calls go unanswered or are rejected and it's impossible to leave a message as the voice mail is full. Been trying to get in touch with them for weeks. What sort of a company treats paying customers like this?

"Absolutely loved it!!"
I booked this experience as gift for my friends, the product making was absolutely amazing and we had so much fun. Natasha made us feel welcomed and was really accommodating. The pricing is good and so much variety to make. We created the essential oil fragrance and body scrubs and they smell gorgeous! Will be coming again.
