We planned to retire back to dry land (again!) after 7 happy years cruising the waterways in our narrowboat. Sadly the pandemic hit just as we put our rented/renovated house on the market. With no sale any time soon, we decided to go ahead anyway. We approached an advisor, who recommended and arranged a bridging loan, charging a substantial upfront fee. We did not feel happy with this, and on a suggestion from someone, approached Heritage. Thank goodness we did! Will was a breath of fresh air, and after some negotiation (no upfront charge here) managed to secure us a short term mortgage fixed rate for 5 years. Given that I am over 70, that was surprising but very welcome. We re-let our property, and the rental income helps with the mortgage repayments. Will was really helpful keeping us regularly posted and helping with advice and guidance throughout. I thoroughly recommend Will and Heritage.

As a first time buyer I found it so confusing, Will explained everything to me and made sure I understood every part of the process. No question was ever to silly. He was always available anytime of day via WhatsApp which was great for me as I’m terrible at emails.
