MoonPies are a favorite treat of mine. They have been since I was a kid. They aren’t the easiest treat to find, though. I took my monthly treat for granted living in a large city. I could have one whenever I wanted. Their amazing marketing team does a great job and usually got me to go purchase one whenever they’d send out a tweet.

At the end of 2020 I decided I no longer wished to live in a large city. It’s never been my preference and I was awarded the opportunity to end my lease with enough money to move to an equitably affordable small town on the west coast. Small towns have a certain charm, and I found myself smitten with this new journey.

Then sprung the lemon MoonPie at the beginning of 2021 and I found myself unable to obtain any flavor that wasn’t chocolate, banana, or vanilla. While all flavors of MoonPie are wonderful, sometimes one needs a change. And what better way to mark my new home than by enjoying a new flavor of MoonPie.

So I searched around. I went to all the local grocers, big box stores, and convenience stores. Only one small store carries those three flavors. How would I ever get my lemon flavored MoonPie?

And so I journeyed to Amazon. Despite searching from A to Z I was unable to find that which I sought. So I took to Google and found the MoonPie store. There are flavors of MoonPie I never knew existed! Coconut, strawberry, the fabled lemon, and a mythical mint chocolate.

Somehow they arrived at my hot desert abode unscathed along with a sign advertising MoonPies for a nickel.

My tastebuds have been tantalized by this endeavor. I highly recommend it. But make your order large as they only use UPS and FedEx, which is expensive.
