I am finding my experience with Miyagi Heart Smart a holistic experience with mind and body. I am starting to form a new relationship with food and what this will mean for in the future. My weekly check ins with my Coach/dietician hold me accountable in a compassionate non judgemental way. Is the program a quick fix…no but I feel it will be a longer term permanent lifestyle for me😊

"I joined Miyagi as a sceptic"
I joined Miyagi as a sceptic. It’s a lot of money and seemed to be this scam to attract unhealthy people. But I joined because I was pre diabetic and I needed help. Oh my goodness, how different the experience has been! So far from my impression and thinking.
I have an amazing coach, Alicia. She has such wisdom and every week she has just kept me inspired to do better and learn more about my health and wellbeing. I couldn’t ask for a better person. I have learnt so much about myself, and I am still learning and striving. One of the best decisions I’ve made for my health.

I’m fairly new to the program, but I love that I have someone each week to talk to and help me with different foods to eat. My dietitian is lovely and gives me heaps of ideas and also helps me when health problems arise, she works with me to keep me on track.

I bit the bullet when I joined this program hoping I was doing the right thing and wondering if the money was worth it.
I had a bit of a health episode and figured it was about time I took stock and did something about my weight and nutrition and I'm so glad I did.
My weight was increasing slowly, which was not helping my ongoing health issues
Results so far are:
Day 42, weight reduced by 5.2kg and waist down 10cm. Skin feels great and health issue symptoms have improved.
Movement and exercise are up, alcohol consumption is down.
The approach used by setting achievable goals and focussing on meal composition and hunger signals have really helped me where other programs have failed.
Fortnightly calls with the dietitian have been great and I feel no pressure to aim for something unachievable and I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. The support from the FaceBook group has also been wonderful.
So happy that I joined the program 🙂

My experience with Miyagi is relatively new, just a couple of months, but I have really appreciated the regular accountability and also the perceptiveness that Lance my coach has provided. Lance has tuned into my goals and carefully read the person that I am and where I want to be in the future.

"Way too expensive for what it is"
I don't believe that the program is value for money. $3000 for 26 phone calls, and some information on an app. Although I enjoyed talking to my coach I don't think I derived any value over and above what I was already doing myself
