Conor is a brilliant teacher who has inspired my son to absolutely love playing the guitar. His approach is purely pupil focussed - always making lessons fun and catering to our son’s musical tastes. This has inspired my son to practise and be on his way to mastering various pieces and also preparing for a contemporary guitar exam, all in the space of a few months (but at a very manageable and non pressured pace)! He’s an encouraging and friendly teacher and I would highly recommend him.

He inspires Katie and her love of music, he is always prepared for the lessons and it has been fantastic seeing her progress from a beginner to a proficient player. I started guitar eighteen months ago, in my late 50’s, with Dan and he has always kept me inspired, even through lock down with Zoom lessons. I started with nothing and have gone through finger warmup exercises, multiple strumming patterns, various riffs, lots of different tracks including a couple of Christmas ones, 12 Bar blues, and now onto finger picking. Every lesson seems to lead onto something new and progressive. I never feel like it is a chore to do practice because I want to learn more every week because Dan keeps the lessons interesting and show me were I maybe going wrong in a positive way. I can highly recommend Dan to anyone young or mature like me.

During the past 6 months, Issy has passed a Rock School exam with Distinction and successfully performed one of her favourite pop songs to a large audience in Dan’s summer concert. Currently a typical 45 minute lesson includes preparation towards her grade exam alongside working on a varied pop repertoire which allows her to master new chords & strumming patterns whilst adding in vocals. He is an extremely adaptable teacher and has built up a great rapport with Issy who thoroughly enjoys her weekly guitar lesson. I’m really pleased with the progress she has made in 2 years.

Dan is a brilliant teacher. The lessons are always fun and based around playing songs as opposed to endless technical exercises. I gave up guitar in frustration my teens and Dan has really helped me rediscover my passion for it. I find myself learning lots of important things about theory and technique without even realising it! I highly recommend Dan to anyone who wants to enjoy learning guitar.
