I found Vintage Winders on eBay when looking for a particular Rolex.
I contacted them via emails, which were very promptly answered.
Because it was my first purchase of this kind, I wanted to see the item, so they happily agreed to meet.
On meeting, I was presented not only with the watch I had my eye on but a selection of similar examples.
Because the proprietor is a true Rolex enthusiast, he was eager to share his boundless knowledge on what I was buying in to. There was no pushy sales, just a nice hour or so, in a relaxed envìronment considering what I wanted.
On selecting my watch, he adjusted the bracelet to fit there and then so I could spend my journey home admiring it!
We discussed how to look after it and I was also pointed to a watch winder so that I don't have to change the date if it hasn't been worn for a while.
I was emailed an invoice and warranty which listed the full item description and serial number. He could even tell me which quarter of the year it was made.
I honestly can't remember having such an enjoyable buying experience.
