"Given an ultimatum"

I thought for a long time before writing this. But on reflection what the store did to me was unacceptable.

I ordered miniatures in separate orders and in each order one of the minis was missing a piece. I raised this with the store and they said they'd mail out the bits. Days went past with no information and I emailed again and got no reply. I then raised a PayPal dispute for both of these orders.

I suddenly got a reply and the person I spoke with informed me unless I closed the disputes they wouldn't send out the bits, implying that I'd somehow try to fraudulently gain my money back which was total nonsense. I closed one of the cases as a gesture of good will after intense pressure from this store. This was basically blackmail; close your disputes or we won't send your bits. Which is ironic because if they don't send the bits I get my money back.

Personally I'd avoid them, I wouldn't buy from them as their aftercare policy is incredibly dodgy.

Edit 10/02/24; shows how much the store pays attention. I didn't purchase through eBay, I purchased through their online store. They also fail to understand that their failure wasn't in replacing the parts, their failure was the ultimatum/blackmail/extortion. Also after checking and screenshotting their website this "policy" does not seem to be detailed on the website. Think their reply and their attitude in that reply reinforces my point.

Ordered the board for Hero Quest. It arrived in excellent condition and quickly. Was really impressed the seller offered individual parts from the full game, this was really helpful as I'm only looking for a few elements.
If they break up another copy I'm very interested in the cards from hero quest too.

First time using Tritex, but will use again

"Been a customer with Tritex for years…"

Been a customer with Tritex for years now, only had one issue when I pre-ordered an item during the month of Feb 2023.

September-October has passed and it has simply not arrived yet despite being expected months beforehand so I was issued a refund. Tritex re-imbursed me and as an extra nice thing they didn't have to do at all, sent me the item when they finally received more stock from the supplier.

Grateful for Tritex doing their thang and I recommend this company because they're reliable and their customer support is great. If you do run into an issue which I imagine is simply unavoidable for their business, they're known to rectify it as soon as they can.

"2nd time a figure listed as available is out of stock."

On the evening of Sunday the 13th of August the Tritex website listed there being two Tortle monk D&D miniatures in stock. I ordered one and received confirmation of my purchase.
On the afternoon of Monday the 14th of August (less than a day after placing the order) I received this message.
(The following note has been added to your order:

Apologies I was away last week and staff put it on hold but we cannot get this in now and sold out a week ago. Apologies I have to refund it.

How could my order be placed on hold before being placed? And if the item was out of stock, why did the on-line store state 2 were available?

That's twice in recent weeks my orders have been, let's say, mishandled, with me not getting what I have ordered.
Even though I was sent a different, though similar, figure in the first case and was given a refund for the Tortle, this is not what I would call good, or even adequate customer service.

As a result I have gone with another supplier who charge a little more but who seem to maintain more accurate stock records.

On the odd occassion I have had an issue they have sorted it quickly and fairly, Descriptions are accurate and delivery is prompt and well packaged. I can't recommend them enough. Thanks guys.
