The windows were changed and there was some difficulty removing the old wooden ones but the damage was minimal and tidied up quite well. The mess was cleared up on a daily basis. However the wet weather did not help. There have been no problems with the windows and they do look good.

I needed to replace a number of glass panes in a large custom made arched wooden window frame and a custom made wooden conservatory. Whilst a lot of business would only consider replacing glass panes in plastic windows, Kirkby Lonsdale Window Company had the expertise to deal with custom made wooden frames and custom made glass panes. Following a site visit an estimate and a time frame for the work was provided. The eight panes were replaced in a day and the work was carried out to a high standard.I would have no hesitation in recommending Kirkby Lonsdale Window Company.

Kirkby Lonsdale Windows recommended Aluminium windows to replace our timber casement windows. They advised me on different colours, hardware and glazing options. We opted a colour called Agate Grey and for triple Glazing as the cost difference wasn’t much more expensive. The quality of our windows are outstanding and the installation carried out by the guys was exemplary. They left no mess behind at all and were very polite to us at all times. "A clean break? Maybe....."

The negative comments about this company are based on the fact that the previous window company (Glazeline Limited) run by the same director went into voluntary liquidation owing thousands of pounds to customers, myself included, in February 2023. The details of our transactions with Glazeline have been supplied to Trustpilot, but deemed irrelevant as they did not relate to their new company: Kirkby Lonsdale Widow Company. As a consequence my wife’s negative review was taken down, as were four other negative reviews from other customers left out of pocket by Glazeline.
While it is possible that Kirkby Lonsdale Widow Company has made a clean break with the business practices pursued at Glazeline, I would strongly advise anyone considering doing business with them to bear in mind that the best predictor of the future is the past, and that Trustpilot derives income from the companies on its site, not their customers.
I would also recommend that you keep a screenshot of this review as I expect it will not be visible for a very long.
