"OVER-PROMISE & UNDER DELIVER & OVERSELL"
OVER-PROMISE, UNDER-DELIVER Don't Was YOUR TIME OR MONEY. This company will promise you that they can assist you in everything that you ask. But once they sell you on one service, they keep coming back for more add-ons and more add-ons before even completing the first ask. They try to pressure you on sales. Their proofreading and writing skills are horrible. GPT can do better. The skill set of the writers is high school at best. Their follow-up when services expire is non-existent. I would run as far as you can and not waste your time, money, or energy. I believe their positive reviews are fake.

"Stay away, run, run fast, hide, do whatever you can to be as far away from these criminals!"
Stay away! This is the most unprofessional, careless, rip-off outfit you will ever find. I can provide with more information and details but here’s a summary:
1. One year later, still no book
2. Constant pressure to “upgrade": (please note NONE of these charges were mentioned during initial consultation or included in contract):
a. After one month of working on my book, they told me
that I needed to pay $450 additional since the book was
“too long” (they had the entire book since day 1)
b. The offered to get me copyright for $799. My cost at
copyright office: $67
c. They offered to get me two ISBN codes (“necessary to
publish book on Amazon” which is not true) for $300. I
got 10 ISBN codes from Bowker Services for $295
d. Tried to upsell me on Social Media Marketing Services:
$2000
e. Tried to upsell me on Sales Boost package $1,499
3. In one year, 5 different “Managers” to work with me. Each one worse than the previous one. They all, after a couple of months, disappear because they were “in the hospital”
4. I had to do ALL of the grammar, punctuation and continuity checking and fixing. To make matters worse, even after I would, repeatedly, send them the corrected files, they still would not fix them
My name is Joseph Riotta. I'm a real person, who thought I could get this company to do what I paid them to (and they agreed to). Please contact me if you want more information on these heartless, incompetent criminals.
I will also be suing them for breach of contract.
Run, run away, and fast!

"Ghostwriting proficiency never gave me access to my website "
Ghostwriting proficiency created a website for my book at 3700. I also got a marketing package. Things were fine until I tried to cancel/my package ended. They just kept giving me the runaround and requiring more services.
In the initial consultation I was told that the website was my property. However, after several requests, I was never given access.
In June 2024 my godaddy domain expired and my website was no longer online. I called and emailed ghostwriters and told them I needed access to my website. I supplied the agent with an updated domain name.
However their solution was, we can give you another service (700) in order to get your website going again but they wouldn't allow me access to my website after several requests 😞

"I was scammed and lied to and lost…"
I was scammed and lied to and lost thousands of $$.

"Order was placed, not delivered"
Order was placed, they'll spend a year ignoring you or telling you soon... soon. They are either scamming people claiming they can do the work, or they have 3 people trying to juggle 10 projects at a time. Needless to say, it'll come back copy and pasted from some chat gpt.

"I wish I had known ALL the costs upfront"
The edit team was great, and the project managers were always prompt in responding to my texts and questions. But I have 2 complaints that have caused me to give the 2-star rating.
I am a first-time author and was ignorant to the process of publishing. I wrote a bible study which is different than the usual fiction or non-fiction book. The format team never quite caught my vision for my study. I ended up doing most of my own formatting and submitting that to be used in place of what was sent to me.
My biggest complaint, however, is with the sales/finance department. When I first called, I was given an estimate based on the pages in my book. I understood when my page count went over the estimated number that I would need to pay more. The problem came when at every new stage of the process I was asked for more money. My main complaint is that GWP was not up front with ALL the costs associated with publishing. I am retired on a fixed income and don’t have $7,000 extra laying around to spend on this project. My cost overruns already put me in debt.
I can not speak to the marketing as yet because so far there has been no sales and I still have not received the books I was promised.

"Good experience all in all"
Good experience all in all. Natalie was very patient with me and the team did a good job. Sometimes I felt like I had to ask for things a few times but I am persistent.
Costs would have been better explained upfront - so I could purchase the things I would have found more useful. But being first time author there is a learning curve.

"Patience and determination are so important in the process of publishing a book"
I was unaware of the amount of work involved in publishing a book. I now have a better understanding of the procedure. It was challenging in the beginning to ensure that the narrative was not changed and that my perspective was represented accurately. Adam was most encouraging and patient, once we were on the same page.

"Excited New Author …"
I have recently published my first book with the assistance of GWP. I am most appreciative of the knowledge I’ve gained through this process and the support of my project Manager, Adam. GWP made this experience easy and exciting and I am thankful they were able to keep my book in its original language as much as possible assisting and helping capture the personalities of the characters. I am excited to work with GWP on the second series of my project.

"The team at Ghostwriting Proficiency…"
The team at Ghostwriting Proficiency responded quickly when working on my book project. They provided good feedback in the editing process and were pleasant to work with.
The only problem I had with them was during the final phase of the project. A description they provided for my back cover lacked details and depth. They didn’t have comprehension of what my book was about.
Overall, a good experience.
