"Refund policy is lacks speed and transparency"

Good grief. I requested a refund within their 5-day window after finding a different program that met my needs. It took 3 emails back and forth to get a refund. (Each time, they asked me to give them the reason for the request. Not sure why they needed it in writing more than once. And they also took out a "processing fee.") It was disappointing and time-consuming. Usually, 5-day (risk-free trials) don't' require so much gymnastics.

even though Octoparse is listed as a free tool for web scraping, their tutorials are tailored to specific issues and overly simple that you cant apply to different forms of websites. Also, the customer service quality is very poor. If you ask for help or guidance they intentionally tell you "I'm afraid I can't give you a free live tutorial. The cost of a live tutorial is $250 per hour. And it sounds like Octoparse isn't suitable for you. I'd suggest you look for something else".

Unfortunately, their services cannot be tailored to different needs and if you stumble across any problem which is very likely they leave you with the option of you either leave or pay $250 which is extremely unreasonable for students like me. Do better Octoparse.

Do not recommend. go save your time with another software.

"Best data extraction tool ever"

The perfect data extraction tool
I just downloaded the latest 8 version and they've made awesome changes to their product. These people really know what they are doing: the built-in web browser is compatible with Google Chrome rn, auto-selected data fields save me from writing Xpath, Cloud Extraction works great as usual, more new scraping templates are added to the list. They also opened up an online community. Great product, great support, great team.

"Ocotoparse is the best tool I've ever had"

Ocotoparse is the best tool I've ever used. It's very friendly to the new users. I have used a couple of tools before like Parsehub and Scrapestorm, but none of those would compete with Ocotparse. Scrapestorm is easy yet it has difficulties to deal with complex and dynamic websites which most websites now have a high threshold on scraping tools. and Parshhub is able to extract from dynamic websites, yet it isn't as easy as Octoparse. In addition, Octoparse has tons of web scraping templates which allows you to extract data instantly without task configuration. I wish I've used this before.

"Nice web scraping tool"

I am doing some text mining projects and need all data aggregated in 2 weeks. Though I know a bit of python and am able to write simple scripts to do web scraping, the time is really tight. Luckily I found Octoparse and all my data could be extracted in 4 days. They have many case tutorials and I could follow exactly the same steps and get the data I need. Also, their support team is patient and prompt in reply so I really have a good experience with Octoparse. Really appreciate them and will continue using this software.

Octoparse is a web scraping tool for those without coding experience. I am not a technician and I've tried some tools to help me with scraping project. Among these tools, Octoparse is the most affordable and there's no much limitation on the free version. Tutorials and videos are very helpful, just follow the instructions to create crawlers. I was not a paid user when starting to learn Octoparse but still get good support by emailing them.
