Limpopo Biltong

"Too expensive "
Biltong tastes great, the bites are way too hard to chew almost inedible for me, not even the dog could hack it, unfortunately its way to expensive for me at £50+ a kilo.

"Great customer service and product."
I ordered dry lean biltong and that is what I got, and it tasted good. Courier (DPD) delivered the first attempted order package opened with the biltong packet inside also opened and partially (presumably) consumed as about half was missing. I asked for a refund on the entire order as the main package was opened and Limpopo resent my order at no additional cost, with minimal issues…they also stopped using that courier. I consider that to be excellent and responsive customer service, and their product is high quality too.

"Fluffy mold on beef jerky after a week"
I've ordered from this company quite a few times and always get quality service and quality products. This time I ordered the original beef jerky which has a date to use by the 15/03/2023. I opened the bag and let it sit for an hour to let it air out. I closed the original bag it has been in with a simple clothes peg to make sure the cats didn't get to it. I went to get some yesterday and was shocked to see the jerky had fluffy white mold all over it. I could understand if it was past the best before date but I've had this for less than a week. Absolutely shocking considering the order was £45. If you're looking for something that will last longer than a week, I would probably go elsewhere.

"The only truly original and fresh biltong. The rest taste like cardboard. Be advised!"
I tried many biltong suppliers and was constantly disappointed as they all taste like cardboard and mostly come from the same supplier. Limpopo is different, their biltong is fresh and tastes like the real thing. Also, Limpopo biltong has a short shelf life, around three weeks unlike the competition which lasts for months because it is not fresh. I love their biltong.

"Waste of timeDon’t bother going into this grotty…"
Don’t bother going into this grotty little shop. The stock on the shelves seems to date from the 1950s. Can’t speak for the biltong, the man behind the counter prefers to be rude to his customers rather than selling them any!

"Cardboard with biltong spice"
Bought a packet of original biltong on Thursday at the Lexicon Christmas market. Unfortunately it was dry, hard and had no fat at all. Is is made to be like cardboard or has it been in stock for weeks. Never again at £10 a packet.

"Going Downhill which is a shame"
They used to be the best Biltong and DroeWors in the UK and trust me i have tried them all. I have been buying from them since they had a butcher in Acton. Recently however I have seen things change. The droe wors looked like it had been around since Voortrekkers and the biltong was very dry and clearly had been frozen. They need to start some PR soon because I cant see them lasting with this quality product.
