Very poor customer service team who make the customer nearly do all the running around to get stuff sorted . Had to ring ESB myself to get metre changed . Them they could not attach the new metre to my account to allow me to add meter reading . Can't wait until my yr contract is up to get away from them . My recommendation to all is to avoid at all cost . Not word the hassle to switch to them

"Website Perpetually Broken, Inconsistent Bill Dates"
I haven't been able to log into My Account on their site for months. For some reason they make you search by Zip Code first, and then that search is broken. They bill whenever they feel like it, sometimes on the 14th, sometimes on the 22nd, or any time in between.

"Don't fall for $40 gift card. They are horrible"
As other reviewers mentioned I changed my electric supplier to just energy but their rate was 3 times higher than my original one. I ended up paying their 40 dollars gift card with high rate.
At sams club they said everything will stay same and my bill was not going to go higher. But it was all a lie. How come they are allowed to lie and all we can do is just complain here?
Their rate is about 0.07 but national grid's highest one was 0.05 in summer and as low as 0.03. Just energy says their rate is going to stay same but it is just a rip off. Get away from them. Get your supply from your electric delivery.

"The sales lady at Sam's Club was very…"
The sales lady at Sam's Club was very misleading regarding this company. She claimed that whatever rate we were currently paying, that Just Energy would compete if I called and let customer service know the rate. They didn't even offer a plan that compared when I called. I'll accept that part as being my fault for being naive. She also said that they would pay the disconnection fee "if I even had one" with my previous company (I made sure to ask). When the disconnect fee came in, I spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with costumer service trying to determine how they would handle it. I was told to email a copy of this fee to them and I followed their instructions. I never heard anything back so I called again. They said they'd put in a service request and call me back. When that didn't happen, I called back and was told that they only apply a portion of the disconnect fee to our account. I couldn't understand the customer service rep when I asked how I could be sure this would happen and how to show that it was paid. I'm already worried and fed up with this company, and I haven't even received my first bill yet... which I know will be higher than with my previous company. There was more, but for the sake of keeping this short (ish).. The reasons I switched over to this company were lies. Frustrating.

"Horrible Company to Use - AVOID!"
Horrible customer service. Incredibly bad wait time for help. fighting with them for hours and days over them changing a "exit fee" that should not be charged. You will NOT save money. you will NOT have better electricity. you WILL NOT have a good experience... As a college professor for business strategy and leadership, I assure you this is NOT a way to be a customer-driven company. VERY POOR...

"Beware of "application direct to…"
Beware of "application direct to contract" sales tactic. They come door to door and they convince you that you are paying to much for electric- gas. They ask you to fill out an application to see if you qualify, but it is really the start of a service agreement. It is an attempt to get you to sign before you can research. To start, they charge 2.75 per month on top of whatever usuge fees that will be added. So right away, you are paying 2.75 that you weren't paying before. Other than that, it seems they are just a middleman in between you and your energy supplier and scraping money off the top. Maybe you will save, but not a guarantee. Not worth being locked into a contract to find out. Do your homework and if you already signed, be sure to cancel within 3 days so you don't get charged cancellation fee.

Just energy is the worst energy company in New York!! Their ratings are beyond ridiculous.. And it's all a scam . They target low income neighborhoods all around Brooklyn.. as well as Astoria .. the Bronx .. The company never motivates their team .. & the office manager is money hungry when it comes down to sales.. they have their workers .. work in all types of weather conditions.. They knock on your door demanding to see your utility bills..to sign you up for a bogus program to increase the cost of your light and gas .. All for Commission.

wife signed up with the intentions of a lower bill. company provided no service they could explain but charged an extra $94.86 a month extra on are bill. when i called and asked why was we being charged, and for what additional services they provided no one could explain. we have so cal gas so why would we pay a extra $94 a month for no special services. and furthermore why would so cal gas allow it? this company needs to be shut down a.s.a.p
