"NEVER try taketours! Such a STRESSFUL experience!"

We're tourists from the Philippines. We booked & paid 1260usd online for a tour from Mar. 14-16, 2017 with taketours.com (Niagara-Boston tour). When we arrived, our family & friends from NJ advised us against joining the tour as the blizzard was coming on the same dates. We immediately contacted them thru many, many calls & emails from Mar. 12 until morning of Mar. 14 to ask them of their plans of cancellation. They even asked us to talk to the tour operator which lead us back to taketours, then referred us back to the tour op. What a STRESSFUL experience! Unimaginable!! They said they're proceeding as planned inspiteof the state of emergency & we can't get a refund of our payment. We were not even allowed to go out of the hotel because of the blizzard so how's that??? We asked them how they can assure us of our safety, but they just insisted that it'll push thru. We demanded for a refund of our payment. We understand they have their policies but this particular situation is way beyond our control. This has ruined what could've been a good vacation. So inconsiderate & unreasonable! You don't even know if you're talking to real persons as there are different people replying with every email correspondence. Never transact with this company!

Awful excursion to Washington. Bus was old, dirty, uncomfortable and no WiFi. Guide Yo-yo told us there was a toilet at the back but we couldn't use it! Her English was poor we thought Philadelphia was the city of "bloody love " but she was trying to say "brotherly". The tour was directed at the Chinese and they probably got more info than us handful of non Chinese. We met a Greek couple who I translated the poor English they were hearing into Greek! Shocking company and terrible tour. She knew which Chinese buffet we were going to for our evening meal but not which hotel!!! Avoid and look for better options.

I really wanted to book a West side tour also but after seeing the arrangement I was really sad and will not take tours from this company anymore. Pathetic itinerary, can you image you travel for more than 10 hours to Niagara and the tour allows you to spend only 15 min there. No free time at all. The break time given during travel is not adequate. If the tour requires lot of travelling and driver is not accommodative of this, please change your itinerary. We just travelled, travelled and saw nothing.

I was charged $25/adult for Niagara fort and not sure if the ticket price is $25, I believe it is much less, why charge more here??

I am surprised to see good rating on the Take Tour website but after going through this tour, I saw a lot of unhappy faces in their office after the tour. I am not sure if these are genuine reviews or may be not good reviews are not posted on this site. I spoke to few and they expressed lot of dissatisfaction.

Not worth the 5 day tour from Taketours and organized by L &L , I have taken a lot of guided tour previously and also in India and I will rate this as one of the worst.

Also, the tour guide will not inform anything, you will be in a hotel far far away from the city and will not be informed. When you get into the hotel you find that they don't have anything to eat nor within a mile surroundings. So this company expects us walk so far to get something.

Good that I did not book the west side tour at the same time.

Booked a 3 day, 2 night tour from LA to Vegas+Grand Canyon. All information needed was given (apart from a detailed itinerary) inclusive of extra charges. Everything worked out perfectly.
