"Do not sign a contract with this company..."
I don’t understand how they are still in business. Predatory sales tactics targeted toward the elderly. Straight-up did not explain it was a 5-year contract. 5-years with no upgrade to a system that a previous company installed?! Really? Hands down, the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The men talk over you, talk down to you and are extremely unprofessional. Everyone you speak to has a different version of “the truth” and refuse to send anything in writing about the conversation. They will probably leave a bogus response to this review telling me to contact their 1800#, why? To wait on hold for an hour only To be lied to, or rudely hung up on again? Never had I had such distain for a business. Sign me up for that class action suit.

Listen, if you feel like giving the security of your home to kindergartener's...this is your company. They follow through on nothing, their customer service is without a doubt the worst with zero accountability (if they don't like what you have to say they simply hang up on you). they don't do what they say and refuse to give you anything in writing. The only good thing about Fluent is that they will take your money on time every time. Do yourself a favor and put a scarecrow in your front yard, it will do a better job than these children at securing your home.

Fluent home security is a predatory company. After the signing of contract your screwed. The man man behind this rip-off company is Scott. I’ve spoken to this con artist multiple times about this junky equipment and false alarms. Every time Scott get on phone ill say cancel it, he replies your under contract lol ok I’ve heard this over 3 times yet our system doesn’t work even when a break in occurs no calls no reports nothing our cameras alerted us which is not owned by fluent. Scott has been asked to get this fixed it’s been over a year nothing has been done. Only thing Scott at fluent will reply your under contract. Ok great therefore since I’m under contract and no service after the sale I’m holding fluent to this contract. Scott as of 12-01-2022 has breach this contract by failing to provide service to system or rectify the ongoing issues for 3 recorded times complaint have been called in. We have filed complaints with ky attorney general and doing same with bbb. Our plans now are to bring lawsuit against fluent and Scott for failing to a-bid by contract terms. Meaning keep the system running along with have an active monitoring system as Scott claims to have. Your house gets broke into fluent does nothing not even a call. So what’s the point? Scott is nothing more than a con artist selling home security system knowing they will not be monitored or have no plans to repair or replace any defective equipment. We have call logs to fluent we will be providing that as well as Scott’s voicemail where he claims he’s going to fix system but to date nothing has been fixed. That was on July 18, 2022 last call was December 1, 2022 where at that time myself and Scott got into it about this junky system he hangs phone up. This is what you deal with. When Scott’s is faced with issues he cites he’s only concern is to advise you your under contract thinking he’s intimidating someone because of a contract lol Oh Scott you have no ideal who you sold this junk to I will follow through with complaints and lawsuit and hopefully can get others to join a class action suit. That begin said I’m holding Scott to this contract!!! So Scott your smart ass thinks your above the law well buddy you’ve got the right guy here wait to you start getting all the complaints and hopefully we can get a class action suit against this predatory company. Scott’s nothing more than a liar, con artist and a professional scam artist. Selling worthless equipment.

Do not EVER use this company. It is a scam. You can see it from the reviews below. I am surprised that authorities have not closed this company down. When there is a problem with your system, or if they have billed you inappropriately, and call their "customer service" number, they just hang up on you. We already had it happen three times. Yet they keep charging you for a system that does not work. Terrible company, worst we EVER had to deal with

Wish I would have read the reviews before I ever got mixed up with Fluent Security - they extended a contract with an expiry after 60 months - but now they are saying they need to add on a prior contract so guess what I am paying for an additional year. NEVER NEVER NEVER use this company for anything. They are crocks etc. They do not even protect in case of alarm, I had a break in and they didn't even call the police. GREAT JOB FLUENT

"Rude Customer Service..."
Customer Service seems to consist of very unhappy people who transfer their rudeness to the clients. And trying to end an account is like pulling teeth from King Kong. We paid off the contract when the house sold, sent many emails, phone calls, letters of cancellation. Still getting notices of alarms going off. Was told it takes 30days to stop the alarms! Asked what the new homeowner should do. Was told bluntly, "unplug it".
I understand legal, privacy, rules, but the unprofessional snasty attitude they have makes me say, do not use this company, they will make you want to go cuddle a bunny after you hang up.

One star because I have too. Like all warnings DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! They are awful and with all these reviews I’m surprised that they stay in business. Cancelling is a horrible thing. We keep trying to cancel and they tell us we can’t we are locked in. Cool but your contract states
YOU DECIDE TO TERMINATE YOUR AGREEMENT PRIOR TO THE EXPIRATION OF THE INITIAL TERM OF YOUR AGREEMENT OR ANY RENEWAL TERMS, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY THE COMPANY AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO EIGHTY PERCENT (80%) OF THE REMAINING BALANCE OF PAYMENTS DUE OVER THE INITIAL TERM OR ANY RENEWAL TERMS. FOR EXAMPLE, IF THERE REMAINED TWO (2) YEARS ON YOUR INITIAL TERM WHEN YOU DECIDED TO TERMINATE YOURAGREEMENT, YOU AGREE THAT YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY THE AMOUNT OF EIGHTY PERCENT (80%) OF THE PAYMENTS WITHIN TEN (10) DAYS OF THE DATE YOU COMMUNICATED YOUR DECISION TO CANCEL YOUR AGREEMENT.
YOU AGREE THAT THIS AMOUNT CONSTITUTES A TERMINATION FEE AND IS AN AGREED UPON AMOUNT OF DAMAGES AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A PENALTY.
And they still tell you you can’t cancel. They won’t even tell you how to they just flat out say you can’t or contact the resolution office.
Don’t fall for the trap from this company also know as alarm.com
