I used to be an avid supporter of autolumination. I was an early adopter of this company. I bought/tried most of their led bulbs. The bulbs were bright, great fittment & long life though they were pricey it was worth it.
Once their patent protection expired their quality & service went severely downhill. I recently ordered the same led bulbs that I always ordered but I received some cheapy eBay quality bulb that didn't fit. They advertise the same high quality bulbs that they used to sell but send you some cheap mass produced china product that doesn't match their description of the bulbs. It's truly false advertising/bait & switch at its worst.
The customer service is even worse then the quality of the bulbs. TRACY who definitely needs to take a customer service class was very rude. I had sent pictures of the old bulbs which I had previously purchased from them & which to this day is still advertised on their site vs the cheap bulb they sent in place. I explained that bulbs didn't fit & was a completely different color than what advertised. I took comparison pictures of every minute detail down to the measurement of the contacts on the chip board because the obvious pictures of side by side comparison wasn't enough for her. She keeps insisting that it's the same bulb even though the comparison pictures show it's not. They she says that I can return my order at my cost & be refunded less the 1st shipping cost, my return shipping and restocking fee when it wasn't even my fault.
I then filed a paypal dispute because the pictures wasn't enough to start that hamster in her head. After the dispute was filed she has the nerve to say "well if you buy this bulb of course it won't fit". Seriously how can you advertise specific measurements, fitments & color then send something that doesn't match the specs & then tell me that it won't fit what it's advertised to fit in a rude way. I'm currently now in the process of filing a claim with PayPal.
Take it from me someone who been doing business & recommending this company since they 1st started. Avoid them & take your business elsewhere. You just lost a lifetime customer & all of the recommendations. I will be posting all of the comparison pictures on all lighting forums so others don't get ripped off & have to deal with the worst customer service person you'll ever come across.
On a side note if you're hard headed & still want to order from them only order the bulbs that don't have the patent blacked out in the advertisement. For example if you look for a 168/194 & click on a bulb & see a black square above all the different colors for that bulb avoid it. All they did was black out the patent protection & not update the actual pictures & measurements of what they're selling.
To the person that posted that they're great. If you actually got the high quality bulb that they advertised & compared it to what you actually received. I guarantee you'd be singing a different tune. Happy customers do also post & praise as deserved on forums which you apparently know nothing about if you're searching for a rare bulb on amazon.

"Purchase was fine"
I was looking for a rare light 6v motorcycle headlight. No local dealers had it. Ebay wanted $50. From Amazon I found autolumination is offering the light for $30 but I went to their website directly (as usual you can do better than Amazon by going to the vendor). Autolumination had it for $25 which included shipping. Great. Their website is lousy but I found the light and ordered. Two days later it was delivered, shipped from Arizona. Very happy with this company. It seems there are others complaining about their experience, but I wanted to come here and post a review because I did not have any problems. Often happy customers don't bother. I'm pleased. Thanks.

"Very Questionable Customer Service"
Based on other online reviews - Seems like the weak link is customer service.
Placed order for 2 1157 white/red switchback bulbs on 4/7/15. Received email confirmation on 4/8/15 that order had been received and shipped and that a tracking number would be emailed within hours. Did not receive tracking number. Searched website for order and it indicated that it had shipped. On 4/16/15, I emailed customer service address to inform them that I had not received merchandise. Received email on 4/17 acknowledging receipt of inquiry and they would respond within 1 to 2 business days. I received no further response. On 4/22/15 I placed a call to phone number found on my PayPal order confirmation. Call was placed at 9:30 AM EST, I also resent my email of 4/16, reiterating that I had not received product or follow up from Superlumination/Autolumination. I indicated that failure to respond within 24 hours would result in my taking action with PayPal, my credit card company, and the State of Arizona. Within 2 hours, I had an email from Tracy @ superlumination. Email stated that I had been informed that items were back-ordered (apparently not shipped per confirmation email or website tracking) and that my order would be cancelled and refund made to my PayPal account.
To superlumination's credit. Within 1 minute after receipt of their email, I received confirmation that Paypal had credited my account.
I will NOT do business with them again, and I WOULD NOT recommend them until I saw significant recent positive feedback.

"DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM"
I ordered amber-white switchbacks with expedited air international shipping ($35 add on). The parts show up 9 days later with postage listing it cost them $20.... Not a big deal.
The parts were incorrect and flashed the wrong pattern. I sent an email to Tracy asking for them to send the correct ones to me and I would return the incorrect ones. She proceeded to insult me, accuse of being a liar. I provided video evidence of them installed and being tested. It is clear they are incorrect. I finally had to bight the bullet and pay my own money to have them sent back. She receives them and is still trying to blame me and my vehicle circuit. (I had previous bulbs installed working fine and these were extra replacements). She finally gives and and no only agrees to refund the list price of the bulbs and wants me to eat the cost of their shipping and my own shipping for their screw up.
Not to mention through all of these she is no doubt the rudest person you will ever deal with.
I'd give zero or negative stars if I could.

very simply, the sent me product that didn't work as advertised. one of the two lamps they sent me broke off in my hand as i removed it. they are only willing to refund me for the one lamp that isn't broken. I'm done with these fools. that give a bad name to internet auto accessory firms

I ordered very specific bulb due to dimensions of bulb. They sent completely different bulb from what I ordered. When I emailed them they claim they sent upgraded bulb. It doesn't fit so it does me no good. They're refuse to pay return shipping yet they knowingly sent wrong part. This business is a joke. Stay away.

I was trying to purchase some LED side marker lights for my Fiero. I had found a forum that recommended this site and gave the bulb models. I tried searching by type of lighting, by bulb, by application, everything I could think of, to no avail. Thre pages require perhaps 100 page downs to peruse their entire length. For any time I tried to buy something, I was transferred to another page of equal length. No page was laid out in and semblance of order. In fact, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the entire haphazard site. Some links just plain don't work. At one point, I clicked on a link for light strips, and was taken to PayPal, where an item I didn't want was listed. Obciously, the site was written by a very inexperienced and incompetent programmer. After spending several hours over 2 days on the site, I sent an email asking for help and briefly summarizing my issues so that they could be addressed that others may have a better experience.
I received a reply from Tracy, who said that the search didn't work that way, and asking an irrelevant year for my Fiero. I replied with the year, then received a reply from Chris, who said that Tracy was confused. Chris provided some links to a video and very lengthy pages so I could look for the items I'd already been looking for. Thus far, I have received no help. I tried again to peruse the hundreds of items on the pages on the links. I was able to choose an LED strip, but not the color. I clicked the add to cart link, and some TOTALLY DIFFERENT product appeared in paypal. In frustration, I wasted more of my time and effort trying to do business with these people by sending and email stating the problems I was still having. Rather than offer any solution, the following unsigned reply was sent to me:
"Honestly, I think if you cannot even figure out how to click on add to cart, you are never going to figure out out to put these in your car."
I can understand their laziness, incompetence, inability to build a usable site, inability to understand a simple request, ignorance of their products, and certainly their inability to use their own web site, but who sends an insult like that to a customer? My abilities or lack thereof are none of their concern. There seems to be some transference and/or projection of their own incompetence. Since there are no product details on their site, there is no way I could know about their products, but apparently they don't know either.

"Defective products dissimilar to advertised are "just the way they are""
Bought the LED neon tube on their site.
While the red one gave the advertised effect neither green nor blue did.
The tubing was transparent and completely fails to diffuse the light from the LED core as advertised.
After ignoring my initial email and being told I was "confused" they finally said "that's just the way they are".

"ALL THEY SENT WAS THE GARBAGE !"
I ordered two Par 38 LED lamps and what I got is outrageous.....one lamp is broken internally...not from shipping since the box is OK...and the other is without a protective cover over the internal high voltage components and LED's. I tried the lamps to see if they worked....at my own personal risk...and guess what, they don't work. So now its going to cost me even more to send them back.
Clearly this company is a fraud and should not be allowed to continue business

"Products only okay, but customer serice usually poor"
I've dealt twith this company for a few transaction. While order and ship is no problem - the customer service from them is disasterous. If they send u a defective bulb, you would have to pay for the charges to ship them back first and fill out a form for exchange. Not sure how this site survived for so long with poor customer service, but thats my 2 cents.
