When you get your report of the dispute, you can read how much the tenant gets and how much 'our client' gets!!!!
That says it all, doesn't it!?
The fact that the tenant has written evidence, AND that the deposit IS the tenant's money - they couldn't bother less.
It's clear that the 5 stars are given by the landlords, who like to play it dirty...

This company thinks it's appropriate to take weeks on end to respond and then they will email you out of the blue to say that you need to get back to them within 3 WORKING DAYS. Like are you for real?

No one answers the phone or responds to your emails, other than with an automated response, and there is no personal follow up.
The adjudication process is totally untransparent.
I will be swapping to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme which appears to have better reviews; a better customer service team and appears to operate on a more level playing field.

I lost half of the deposit. Sent everything I had two months ago, on Thursday they sent me an email that I have to provide evidence within 24h or they will stop chasing it. So basically the poor guy who rented the property to us took half of the deposit, I never seen any of his evidence and these people are okay with it. Seriously for few hounded quid you guys making yourself look really bad

I was not surprised when I saw an overall rating of 2 for this 'company'. Absolute disgrace to say the least! My deposit has been or should I say not been protected with this shocking excuse for a company for the nearly 4 years! If it wasn't for recently moving I would never of known that my deposit has been protected in the wrong name! So unprofessional to put it under the wrong name especially with high value money and legal contracts involved. You might as well close the company not one person would miss it reading previous reviews.

"Pathetic"
One single word: pathetic! If the agency you’re planning to rent with protects the deposit with the scheme better avoid it. It is ridiculous how they handle the disputes and they will be on the agency that gives them business right. It is ridiculous and looking for an institution that actually regulates this scammers.
