Central London Plumbers

"Reasonable rate"
I have always found this company to be helpful and have always answered any questions I have had and given good advice. They arrive on time every time. They did a few odd jobs around my flat at a reasonable rate. Thank you Would recommend to anyone needing work done.

"Fast service, job complete"
Quick to book in and send out a plumber for an issue with my toilet. The plumber they sent out was polite, explained the issue and fixed it within 45 minutes, as well as giving me advice on what to do/ say if it happens again. Quite expensive, but not extortionate for a fast call out in London.

I found the price of £523 to replace an immersion heater grossly expensive.

"Shoddy work, complete fraudsters"
We booked through what is probably 1 of many names Clapham Handyman in our case but transaction goes to Central London Plumbers.
My wife booked them and handed over credit card details which should be the biggest alarm bell that you should walk away. Booked to replace bath seal.
Day 1 turned up - spent 5mins removing seal and left site
Day 2 turned up - here for c.45mins replacing seal which broke within a few days.
Charged £360 for this, received no invoice, they won't give money back or send someone to sort the issue, so I had no option but to raise a fraud review with my credit card company

"Rip-Off:Avoid"
I had a similar experience to TW,of the plumber running out of the house, but in my case he was in the middle of a job!He just quietly took his tools, left the house and drove away. Then the call centre rang to say,get a new boiler, and quickly put through a hefty charge to my card.Do not use these people, and certainly do not hand over your card details.

"This company is a complete scam"
This company is a complete scam. Including their sister company -
battersea-plumbers .co.uk/
They charged my card without any discussion or confirmation of the price. When I spoke to their managed Zoe. She shouted at me on the phone. When I complained about the service she continued to shout at me. I have contacted my lawyer and the consumer ombudsman about this. I have also filed this as a fraudulent transaction with my bank who will be disputing the funds.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

"Excellent Service from CLP"
I have read the negative reviews regarding CLP and so I thought as I have just had an interaction with them I should leave a review. Whilst there is no need to go into the specific details of my issue, I wanted to write about my experience. I called CLP and spoke with Ricky. I explained my situation (calmly and nicely) with Ricky who understood my plight and circumstances and decided to immediately resolve the issue outstanding. I was and am overwhelmed by Ricky's KINDNESS and understanding. There was no arguing or shouting, just a quiet and professional exchange of opinions. While I cannot comment on other people's experiences, Ricky treated my issue with care, sympathy and compassion. On the basis of this interaction I would return to CLP should I require their services. I was very impressed with how Ricky helped me. Ricky, THANK YOU and bless you

"worst experience possible"
Be aware of this company - they book appointments quickly, come very late , stay for a little while in order take your credit card payment and dont do anything .I booked a 1 hour appointment last week as both bathtubs were not draining. A man completely dirty and smelling of sweat showed up 3 hours late at around 10:30 pm and rang the bell 5 times, waking up the entire family. The plumber had only a plunger in hand spent 20 minutes doing what we are already tried to do. He had no other equipment . After achieving nothing and having credit card charged £161, I spoke their office and complained about his arrival time and his 20 minutes of doing nothing and a woman named Jo called me a liar 3 times. Shocking. I spoke to another person who agreed to have the plumber come back at no extra charge the following day with the correct equipment. Another man came the next day 4 hours late with now only a plunger and One shot liquid - not even a metal worm. He spent 10 minutes. and charged £171 on my card automatically without achieving anything. i asked them to refund me at least the first appointment and they refused. There website looks professional with a guarantee policy but they are not a company to be trusted at all. Be aware

"Rip off merchants. Avoid like the plague."
Having returned to my London flat after a long absence in France, I discovered that my en suite shower was not working. After a little bit of fiddling about intended to facilitate an examination of the cartridge I failed in my attempt to remove the control knows, vital for this process.
I called an organisation purporting to be Blackheath Plumbers for a non-urgent appointment and was told that they would attend two days later, charging me £120+ VAT an hour - already an exorbitant but usual sum. When the confirmatory email came it was from Central London Plumbers.
The plumber duly arrived, concluded that he had to remove the knobs, and failed to do so, explaining that the Allen screw retaining the temperature control knob had a damaged head. He returned to his truck several times to fetch tools he had not brought with him to the flat from his van, adding to the time taken.
Finally, after about two hours spent removing the knobs, he decided he had to visit a plumbers supply shop to acquire a set of ring spanners which he had failed to bring with him. This took at least one hour. Having finally returned suitably armed with the correct tools he miraculously discovered within two minutes that the problem was simply a blocked feed to the shower head. Resolving the problem was a simple matter of unscrewing the shower head and then the pipe, and applying a little air pressure with the breath. No work at all.
For this I have been charged for three hours work - which includes the shop visit - a sum of £432.00.
Surely a qualified plumber should have performed a proper diagnostic examination starting from the shower head.
I have written to the Observer and am involving Citizens' Advice, but warn everyone else not to use these (in my opinion) criminals.

"Bad company- do not use or you WILL waste £"
Scam. This company operate under several names. I booked a quote for my windows, which need the glazing repaired. They stated if the engineer quoted more than their initial quote and I don't want to go ahead, I can get a refund. The engineers quote was far greater than the original quote. I have been calling them every other day, for weeks, regarding getting my deposit back and they give me excuses after excuses.
