Belmont Moving & Storage

"A Moving Broker, NOT a Moving Company. Stay away!"
I also didn't realize this company is just a broker until my movers showed up with a different name on their truck. They also nickeled and dimed me on having to pay extra so they could pack some smaller boxes and loose items into larger boxes. The price ended up going up about $600 after the truck was packed. The truck was packed on August 29th and now it's September 7 and they can't even tell me if the truck has left NY to go to NC. They never called me after the truck was packed to give an update. I've had to call them three times to check on the status and I'm told, "based on the mileage, they have 3-10 business days" to get my stuff to me. Will never use them again and I suggest you don't either.
Update: Now Sept. 16th and still no ETA when I can expect my things to arrive. Sept. 13 was 10 business days. It has now been 19 days since my stuff was loaded on the truck.

"This is the worst company ever"
This is the worst company ever
This is the worst company ever! Do not trust these guys for a minute. They will purposefully low-ball your quote, then pressure you to pay cash quickly to "reserve your truck". When the truck shows up they tell you the pricing was wrong (oops) and instead it will cost almost double. Don't believe them! In the end I found a reputable mover who moved us more quickly for less than the original quote from this company. And they called me multiple times after trying to convince me nobody would give a better price than that doubled rate. LOL such a bad scam!

"Scam"
Paid a deposit in February to lock in my move and avoid peak pricing. Unresponsive when trying to schedule the actual move. Never got my money back. SCAM

"PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!"
This company is NOT A MOVING COMPANY. They are Brokers, and they are DISHONEST and deliberately deceptive aka fraudulent. They contract out the actual move to random carriers so that they can claim no fault when it comes to all the ways in which you will get screwed on your interstate move. They told us our property would be on it’s way to our destination immediately after pick-up. This was a lie. They told us it would be stored in one of their affiliate storage locations in a secure and temp controlled space near our new address. This was also a lie. Our property would have been 1500 miles away in NJ all the while we would be trusting that it was nearby and ready to be delivered in a timely manner, as was offered during time of contract. The driver who showed up moving day told us as much. Oh, and the cost of the move was now more than double the Binding Estimate. Belmont now refuses to refund our deposit, with which we were told required ACH to pay. This is also a lie…the small print clearly states that credit cards are accepted….but then how would they be able to keep your money they scammed you out of?
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

"Great Mover!"
They were amazing communicators, professional, quick, and extremely good at managing time and being flexible to adding a few items last minute. Surely recommend using them!

"Fabulous!"
They did a fabulous job, and I couldn't be happier. They were punctual, friendly, and professional; they were reasonably priced. I will call Belmont Moving & Storage again.

"Belmont is not a moving company"
Belmont is not a moving company. They are brokers of other movers. They contracted with Affordable moving for my move. The experience was horrible. A lot of my items never made it to my new home and much was damaged. Their compensation program is a joke. Yes I signed the contract thinking it would be a simple move. Little did I know how a company could rip a customer off. The value of the missing and broken items is about equal to the cost of the move.

"Terrible company BEWARE"
Terrible company. READ all the one star reviews, the 5-star reviews are all fake. This company is a total scam, they will trick you and give you the “best price” just to get you to give them the initial deposit. Once they lock you in, you are on your own. They subcontract the job to random companies and it is literally a russian roulette. If you have any problems, there are never any managers on duty and they just ignore every single thing you have to say. Belmont employees are RUDE, especially Billy Joseph, the “senior relocation specialist”. What a joke of a job title, and what a big buffoon he is. Hanging up the phone on his customers like it not his business, this guy is the most unhelpful person I have had to deal with. Shame on him, and on this whole scamming company.

"THEY SCAMMED AN 89 YEAR OLD WOMAN"
My 89 year old mother is moving out of state to come live with us. This company quoted $3600. She has already paid $3200. When the movers showed up in a budget rental truck, they were paid another $2600. They also said that they are have to add additional money for tape and bubble wrap, and an additional $175 because they have to walk too far. They didn't even take all of her stuff because they said that they have to load and deliver another customer on this same truck. Now they want another $1400 to come back for the rest of her furniture. Now I'm not sure if they are even going to show up and who knows that if they do pick up and finally deliver how much more she is going to have to pay. They have depleted her savings!!! Oh and I tried calling Belmont and they were very rude and didn't care that an elderly woman was being scammed. Stay tuned for more
