"Avoid Pentagon Vauxhall Lincoln "

Bought car from them, delivered 22Oct ‘24, rang them within a day or so as rear camera obscured, auto headlights not working, missing inflation kit and no heat from the heater. Took it in for a day and reckoned a software upgrade had cured everything (?) picked it up and after 10 mins heater blowing cold again all the way (1 hour) home. Told them to take the car back and return my trade in…( it’s still on their forecourt) …silence, have heard nothing since, despite many emails, phone calls and sending registered letter to Customer-Care, they are totally blanking me? Contacting Ombudsman to see if he can help…wish I’d never encountered Pentagon and would urge others to give them a miss

"Don't waste your time"

My husband and I booked a test drive. We arrived at the alloted time but were ignored. A manager said to me as he passed that our appointment was with John but John continued with a leisurely conversation about brake fluid etc. We were left standing around. No one apologised, offered us a seat, offered us a hot drink or enquired about the car that we would be interested in. My husband and I left the premises and 19 minutes later I got a call from John, which I ignored. Based on this experience of their customer service, we have decided not to buy a car through Pentagon Sheffield.

"Customer service zero stars"

Amazing how when your intrested in buying a car or needing to spend money on services with pentagon motor group they can get back in touch after 5 minuites but when contacting customer service for help when you have a problem you dont hear back
And when you read all reviews there happy to say contact customer services if you have a problem…. Will never buy a car from this sham company again. If you value your money and time id stay well away from pentagon motor group. Ful of promises to get your sale but no help when the car you buy goes caput.

"Shocking service continues"

Shocking service continues. Car now 8 days with them for a radio software update. Only driven 100 miles and even the executive team at Dacia can’t do anything to help.

"DO NOT BUY FROM PENTAGON"

Shocking customer service .I bought a car from Vauxhall pentagon Sutton road .mansfield On collecting the vehicle i was told it would be prepped cleaned valeted etc ,it hadnt been touched ,shccking.i then had to return the car within a week as all tyres were bald .on return customer service stated they had sacked there mechanic due to alot of mistakes, admitting the car hadn't been checked correctly . I collected the car tje same day ,only to find the clutch was sticking not once but on numerous occasions ,I again took the car into pentagon to be told there mechanic couldn't drive it ,due to it needing a new ENGINE shocking .I was told the engine would be ordered and I could drive tje car until in situ .TEN WEEKS ON still nothing .I have rang on numerous occasions to be told there are now five cars awaiting a new engine .I have not once had any communication at all from pentagon regarding my car ,not once. I have asked for an email documenting the fact that im awaiting an engine and hiw long this may take ,im suffering a great deal of stress with this situatin The staff are rude ,unprofessional ,unhelpful, lack any care or courtesy for me ,THE CUSTOMER ,my next step is the OMBUSMAN .This issue is there's, so sort it ...

"Don’t bother…."

If you want your car fixed don’t bother!!!!
My car got recovered to pentagon seat Huddersfield on the 28th October nearly 3 weeks later I still don’t have it back. No one keeps you informed what’s happening, you can’t get through to anyone and when you do they say they are waiting on parts! Absolute rubbish because no one has told me what parts, what is wrong with the car and how much the car is going to cost! Iv never had this issue at Oldham seat and I wish they never closed it down. I will never ever deal with Huddersfield again absolute joke of a place!

"Pentagon have no SLA for repair time"

Pentagon have no SLA for repair turnaround time. They have made me a booking today for 29 days time during which time my car cannot be driven. I checked the warranty and also spoke to Pentagon who confirmed there is no such stipulation in the warranty. This gives them free reign to delay as they please, and for me and I expect others in the same situation will have to seek an alternative faster repair out of warranty saving Pentagon the cost. In a small way I am to blame for signing up to it and not checking terms and conditions for something that should be obviously included.

"Vauxhall Mansfield Pentagon "

Bought my 69 plate Corsa in November 2021 still under manufacturer's warranty and also purchased an extra year of extended warranty.

After a short while I noticed the car using a small amount of engine oil so I repeatedly mentioned this to the service team, who said they would carry out pressure tests. But it still continued despite having it's regular services at Vauxhall Mansfield.

Earlier this year I took it to them again for it's usual service and they said they would carry out diagnostics. After this it appeared to have stopped.

1 month later a warning light came on saying 'ENGINE FAULT NEEDS REPAIR' it also had a slight knocking noise when starting. So I took the car in as it also needed it's mot.
On my collection of the car they told me they couldnt do anything
as it was an intermittent fault and the warning light never came on. They also said 'the computer doesn't always store the fault codes'.
They said 'you can drive the car till it breaks down as your covered under warranty anyway'.
I told them that I would video the warning light and the knocking noise and email it to them which I did a few times but of course nobody got back to me.
2 weeks later sure enough I broke down. After getting the car to their garage they rang and told me that it needed a new engine which would be £5600 AND that they were not going to honour the warranty as apparently even though I had always regularly serviced the car with them I had driven the car an extra 2,000 miles in between a service.
Apparently the oil pick up was blocked meaning the timing belt was perishing and disintegrating thus damaging the engine.

Meanwhile Pentagon customer services rang me for a customer satisfaction survey (joke). The agent told me the manager would call back but of course he never did.
I have on my service sheets that the timing belt has been checked only in late last August.
Apparently the engine oil was over filled.
Was this their way of correcting the usage ?
Or had they just had enough of me and knew they were going to cancel the warranty anyway ?

Either way up they still had the gaul to charge me £120 for the diagnostics.
The car is 4 years old and has done 58,000 miles and is now little more than scrap.

Obviously I will never go there again but equally I don't think they're bothered at all !

"This is one way a dealership can…"

This is one way a dealership can quickly turn what was becoming a very poor experience into an exceptional one. I’m familiar Seat Huddersfield having 3 cars previously from them. The latest exchanging my Leon FR to for an approved used Formentor in late June. After 3 months of issues, I spoke to Chris the general manager & from that point onwards he personally supported in putting things right even on a day off knowing I was attending. Within a 2 day turnaround, the car was returned in a deal that was very much in my favour & changed for another Formentor in the spec that I was particular about. The service team worked tirelessly to ensure the car was extensively prepped well above anything I would have ever expected (Full service, key batteries, wipers, MOT, aircon, detailed inside & out) We were in the dealership for a good number of hours with my 4 year old & they made us feel welcome over both days with colouring books & being attentive to him. Izaak in sales was also fantastic even going as far as filling the car up before handover with petrol at no cost to myself. Chris personally got all the service information for the car over to me on request the day after handover further displaying the customer service the dealership is capable of. "Disappointing"

Pentagon Burton.

I have had my new Vauxhall Grandland 10 days and have had to call out the RAC as five system fault warning lights appeared while I am away on holiday.

The RAC have carried out diagnostics and several faults have been flagged. The RAC assured me that the car is safe to drive, but need to take the car back to the dealership for the faults to be rectified.

I have contacted the service department today and I am unable to get my car booked in until 29th November. I find this really disappointing, I understand that the service department is very busy, but I would expect a brand new car to have taken some priority.

It is now 19/01/25 and still waiting to get my car fixed. Apparently faulty camera (this will be the third). Service department keeps telling me that they are in the hands of "Vauxhall" whatever that means.

I will never ever purchase another Vauxhall again. I have always had Seat vehicles for the last 23 years - I should have stuck with them - no problems whatsover.
