"Review for first time buyers"
Buying a house is stressful enough but with the added pressure of the Coronavirus pandemic, all we hoped for was a reliable solicitor.
Despite their increased workload (given the stamp duty holiday), Katherine and Jane were proactive, diligent and efficient.
As first time-buyers, we had plenty of questions. These were ALWAYS answered promptly.
Katherine & Jane went above and beyond to ensure we were treated fairly when it came to the nitty-gritty details of the purchase; asking all the relevant questions and adhering to our instructions. When the vendor's solicitor provided ambiguous answers, Katherine and Jane's persistent approach quite frankly saved us stress, time and money!
With every update, Katherine guided us along the process; explaining the situation over the phone AND following up any explanation with an email.
We have all heard the nightmare scenarios buyers have faced when dealing with solicitors. However, My Local Move are professionals who worked well under pressure and still continued to provide a 5 star service.
I hope this review truly reflects how appreciative I am of My Local Move and the service we received from them.

"Absolutely AVOID My New Move!!"
Absolutely AVOID My New Move!!
This company will conduct local authority searches on your behalf and then send your case to a third party law firm (in this case PCS Legal) to deal with the legal aspect - only to then find out the law firm are not on your lenders panel of approved solicitors and have to send your case to another solicitor who is to complete the sale.
Go back to My New Move and they will re-quote you higher then they initially quoted. If you challenge their practices or ask them anything in depth they will then refuse to continue the service and offer to refund any remaining monies.
I was always told "Buy cheap, buy twice" and this lot will remind you of that. Needless to say if the sale of my property falls through I will be seeking to take this company through litigation.

"the reason i gave them one star is…"
the reason i gave them one star is because i had too.
Poor service from their office by email. They were confused constantly by my inquiries, never returned my calls, and recommended a crap solicitor PSC Legals in Basildon. Most harrowing move of my life. Which has taken me until now to re cover.
Pay the extra money its worth it, honestly other wise your health is likely to suffer

"Avoid this company"
Avoid this company, they are a broker. They will pass you on to any Conveyancing company which gives them the most commission. If there are any issues with the conveyancing company they wont assist.

"Web site promises to completion no fee"
Web site promises to completion no fee, refused to refund the fees when my purchase fell through saying the offer was only valid for 14 days
Very poor show and terrible customer service
Avoid at all costs

"Not a great experience"
Not a great experience. They are not conveyancing solicitors, but intermediaries. They allocate a solicitor, but don't seem to manage anything. They do the searches, everything else is the solicitors job. Getting responses was difficult. Prices changed once we were allocated to the solicitor, and it took me threatening to cancel dealing with them in order to be allocated to someone else, and then insisting that the solicitors agreed the pricing too.
The second solicitors missed deadlines, which meant we missed deadlines and had to put everything on hold because this then continued into lockdown.

"**DO NOT USE** False advertisement"
**DO NOT USE** False advertisement and not a solicitors.
We had an offer accepted on a property and instructed my new move to act on conveyancing for us. they advertised "no sale no fee" and fixed price solicitor fee's.
We paid our account opening fee and as soon as this happened we were then off loaded to another company called ConveyLaw who are an actual solicitors. my new move don't actually do your solicitor work for you. problems started straight away. Once we received the pack from the sellers solicitors ConveyLaw then increased our legal fees by £1,200 as they said they had to do some additional work on the land title that nobody was aware of initially. we weren't happy as we had been told it was a fixed fee. as a result with the increase in costs we had to pull out of the house as we couldn't afford the extra work at the minute and any more unexpected cost increases. My New Move then refused to refund our £299 that we have paid to them for the work even though they advertise no sale no fee and guaranteed quotes.
I have reported this company to Trading Standards, The SRA and the Legal Ombudsman,
Brandon the MD blamed me for purchasing a house with a complicated title needed more work which nobody would have ever been aware of. My advice, find a local company pay the extra £100 and have a quality solicitor do your work. not this company who then hand you of to a 3rd party makes the whole process a lot more complicated.
Possibly the worst solicitors(If they are one) i have ever dealt with.

"Great so far"
Great so far
My new move have been fab right from the start. I looked at a wide range of quotes for conveyancing solicitors, they were the best by far with the most competitive fees and the added bonus of the FREE buyer protection policy which covers my legal, mortgage and survey fees. I am happy so far and looking forward to completing.
Thank you!
