After 18 trips with Explorica, we could not be happier! From planning to the return trip, everything was smooth. The hotels, activities, food, guides, and transportation were perfection! We will keep coming back summer after summer!

"Unbelizeable!"

Our group had an amazing seven days on tour in Belize! Explorica met all of our needs and provided an exceptional experience with non-stop, varied activities and valuable educational moments along the way!

"Never went on a trip"

Never went on a trip. Had to cancel it due to low enrollment. The issue was that Explorica didn't refund the money of those who signed up and paid. Countless contacts and requests for refunds were ignored for months and months.

"Expect a months-long process to be refunded"

Having purchased the Travel Protection Plus insurance plan, I assumed it would be relatively easy to get my $2000 already paid back. I was wrong.
Explorica claims it takes 4 weeks to mail a check, but I received the check in 7 weeks. Explorica offers insurance through TripMate, which is a nightmare in itself, and it took 4 weeks for my claim to be denied with reason for denial cited as method by which Explorica paid the airline. Upon calling Explorica about this, they said they will write a check within the next 4 weeks, which will then take 4 more weeks to mail. Very frustrated. Would not recommend to anyone.

"Thieves"

Thieves. We signed up for a trip nearly 1 year in advance. Made 5 payments. Decided not to go. Cancelled our reservation. They agreed that they owed us over $1,600. Said that it would take 4 weeks for a refund to be processed. That was 11 weeks ago. Explorica is deceitful and has not returned funds that they agreed are ours. That makes them thieves.

"Travelled with a group to Prague Nov 2023"

Travelled with a group to Prague last month and it was amazing. Todd Cornford met with the group in advance and reviewed all the necessary details to put everyone’s minds at ease before the trip. And our tour guide, Karolina, was simply outstanding. She was so knowledgeable, adaptable, kind and generous. We can’t say enough good things about the experience or people we worked with. 150% would book/use Explorica again!

"Magical Trip to Prague"

Using Explorica to facilitate our group travel to Prague was the best decision we possibly could have made. It was a magical experience for adults & kids alike, one that will be fondly remembered for a lifetime by all.

Before the trip, Todd Cornford thoughtfully considered all of our expectations & needs. He made sure everything was properly arranged in advance. He worked closely & tirelessly with us to anticipate & solve any potential snags. He answered all of our questions, including those we didn’t know enough to ask. He showed exemplary professionalism & expertise as he helped guide us through the process of setting everything up.

Upon arrival, Karolina was with us every step of the way. She was sweet, kind, thoughtful & efficient. She knew the city well & worked with us to make arrangements when flexibility in the schedule was required. The group was extremely grateful to be in such good hands. Now that the trip has ended, everyone misses her!

"Horrible company, customer service"

We were under the impression that if they didn't get the minimum number of sign-ups, the trip wouldn't happen. As a result, the teacher ended up rescheduling the trip to a date that does not work for us. I'm unclear on what funds had been committed to in advance if they didn't have the necessary sign-ups to move forward and why we were still subject to the same cancellation policy when the trip we signed up for is no longer happening. I would understand if we had to cancel our participation. Policy is ridiculous.
