"Explorica US delivers what they promise"

Explorica US is good at giving a baseline trip that they can deliver and THEN letting you add (reasonable) extras through the interaction with their local tour guide. Do you want to visit a school? They found a way! Do you want to connect with people from the host country? They found a way! Do you want to look for a particular souvenir? They made a special stop for our kids.
When traveling, the best laid plans can fall through; but our guide Juan Diego worked and reworked the details to make the trip unforgettable for our crew.
Highly recommend!

"Our travel was unforgettable"

Our travel was unforgettable. The detail that went into planning our trip was unbelievable from London through Paris and all the way to Madrid. The stays could have been longer and the hotels closer to the city, however the memories built were unique and super special. Thank you!

"Not a good experience."

My group did not think the trip was well planned. We were rushed a lot of the time. We practically ran everywhere we went, even though we said we could not keep up. Every day, anything that could go wrong, did.
Meals were pre-planned so we had no choice unless we paid for it ourselves. For the cost, we should have had better meals.

"Madrid, Barcelona & Rome"

The itinerary was really good, we visited very interesting places and most of our local tour guides were amazing. Unfortunately our local tour guide in Barcelona was hard to understand his English.
My second suggestion would be regarding food. Breakfast was pretty decent. However dinner was a miss or hit. Some restaurants were good with enough food but others were not. I think Explorica can afford better dinner options.
I'm not bling Explorica but one of our buses was without AC and it was a long drive in a 90F weather.
Overall our experience was incredible. The Tour Director, Álvaro was amazing. Hope you keep working with him.
I will recommend other teacher co-workers Explorica.

"Pre trip experience was horrible"

Pre trip experience was horrible. Our initial trip was canceled. Trip members accounts we chanced extra instead of being refunded, then had the be refunded twice. During our trip, our Switzerland hotel was canceled so a new hotel was ordered so far out of the was the additional time spent traveling canceled our traditional Swiss dinner. Our first night in Germany, the group we were partnering with got to the hotel early and instead of the temporary tour director staying with them to make sure the room keys were passed out correctly, he left leaving the distribution of keys up to the teacher, so he gave our rooms to his group because he did now what to do.

I have have done four other trips with other companies prior to our trip and have never had some many problems and issues. The other group leader from Ohio also said the same and we both agreed we would not use Explorica again.

"Our tour guide was great and we…"

Our tour guide was great and we accomplished a lot. However there were many struggles along the way. Before we left, explorica changed both our itinerary and our travel dates. As a result one of our students had to cancel and forfeit their investment. Our Paris hotel also changed at the last minute and we were moved further away from Paris to the airport for 3 days during our stay. We had to rely on public transportation because no coach bus was provided to us. Public transit took approximately 1 hour in the AM and 2.5 hours to return in the PM after long days of touring. We returned to the hotel most nights after midnight and one night we did not get home until 2am.

"Very nice trip, coaching through beautiful Irish/English countryside"

We enjoyed our trip throughout the beautiful Irish, Welsh, and English countryside. We saw some great sites--Blarney, Killarney National Park, and much of Dublin (including the Book of Kells) were at the top of the list. The weather was nice and the other tour groups were friendly and fun. Our tour directors were both excellent, although our first tour director was so soft-spoken that he was difficult to hear at times. Our second tour director was fun, witty, sarcastic and sharp (and loud enough to hear). Most of the hotels we stated at were good quality. (A couple did not have a/c...while expected, still difficult to come back to a hot hotel room). One complaint I have is that we stayed about 3 hours away from our stop the next morning (in Stratford). This tour contains lots of bus time--many of your pictures will come from the seat on the bus. Having an extra 3 hours of bus time on top of lots of bus time already was just a bit too much. Food was ok, although 3 of our first 4 meals all were Irish "bacon" which is like a pork tenderloin..."bacon" got old after a while. So still while not a 5 star, still a really good trip.

"The experience was fantastic!"

The experience was fantastic. We traveled to Italy and Greece May 2June 3 2023. The trip consisted of college students and a few faculty. From pre trip planning to the travel through Italy and Greece, everything was smooth and seamless in terms of food, travel and accommodations. The tour guide, Christina made the trip with her history and archeology background! I have taken a tour with another company previously, and there is no comparison to this one! I would highly recommend this trip to anyone!

"Awesome adventure"

The trip experience itself was unparalleled because of the amazing knowledge and charisma of our tour director and adults. The kids also contributed greatly through their sense of wonder and courage to try new things. The activities and reservations were awesome and flowed perfectly. The only thing keeping this from a perfect score is the lack of response time and sometimes how vague the information was.

"European trip"

Flight connections were so close that the minimum delay caused to miss the next flight. I called and expressed my concerns about this, but they assured I was going to be able to make it. The first flight was delayed and we missed our flight to London, which caused us to miss a whole day of activities, so we were in England just for one day. And we spent a night in JFK airport.
The hotel in London was in a questionable location.
The food for the whole trip was not very good. The only drink included with food was water.
The first day in France, we were told to eat lunch because we were going to have dinner at six pm. It was two pm when we were told that. As soon as we finish eating, lunch, the tour director said that our reservation was changed and we had to eat dinner at four pm. We just ate, so that was confusing and frustrating. We went to the place and before even sit down they brought some chicken and mashed potatoes, like if we were late and needed to eat and go.
The day when we traveled to Italy, we did not have time to do anything else in Rome that day and according to the itinerary we were going to have time to visit different places. The same day, we were given 12 Euros to buy dinner. Everyone had to put some extra Euros to eat a good dinner.
Every other day we had “ free time”, which meant you were on your own to do whatever. This was not the best set up, because we paid to be guided and not to wander around a foreign country. I was trying to check places where to go and how to get there. It was really stressful.
I went to Costa Rica with Explorica last year and it was awesome, unfortunately I can not say the same with my experience in Europe.
