"Good"

Overall, I had an amazing experience! My main complaint is the planned dinners. We did not get a choice of our food, so we had chicken and potatoes for every group meal. I also did not like not knowing the schedule for the days. I was disappointed when we would just drive by places in the bus and not get out to tour them.

"This was my third trip with Explorica"

This was my third trip with Explorica. This trip was slightly less impressive due to several factors. I didn't feel like it was a well organized. Our bus driver was multiple booked, leaving us several times to transport other groups. This caused multiple issues, reducing our options and limiting our experience. Additionally, there were several hiccups with our hotel (I wasn't even booked in a room one of the nights) and restaurants. We also spent the majority of our trip on the bus rather than out exploring.

"The trip was amazing!"

The trip was amazing. The event caused me to give it four stars instead of five was Air Canada. They canceled our flight, put us on another, only to leave our luggage behind, after having us sit on the plane for an hour! I know pilots, flight attendants, etc are in short order right now, but the service we received was not good. But, ignoring our flight, the trip to Great Britain was amazing! Ireland was beautiful and the people were so kind. Scotland was also beautiful and it was amazing to learn about the culture. England too was warm and open and the food was great. I want to go back, but I will take a different airline.

"Special Designed Private Groups"

If an educator wishes to create a private tour that offers special sites or events that are not typically offered in tours then I would recommend Explorica. I have worked with Explorica for private upscale tours for many years for an unique Canadian French tours for students and adults. The results have been extraordinary and positive.

"Horrible time in France"

My daughter went to France. Just got home today (June 22, 22) The hotel was a dump and the A/C was broke in my daughter's room. Temps were ridiculous and she has asthma & arthritis. Food was pretty horrible. Tours were meh. Everything was walking walking walking. There were enough that they could have had a bus. The first guide was wonderful but then the 2nd one was terrible. He made my daughter cry cuz she could no longer walk with her ankles being so swollen. He more or less was like "you're young, you'll be fine" ummmmm....that's not how arthritis works. All in all my daughter was pretty miserable the whole time. Definitely won't be going on another one of those. (This was her 2nd trip w explorica. First was a few yrs ago in high-school to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. That was a well managed tour)

"Costa Rica 2022"

My final trip with kids was great! Aside from some hiccups due to internet issues pre-travel, kids experienced how the other half lives. Some were more focused on the food, others the way of life, others on flora and fauna. Our tour guide, Berny, was beyond amazing! Only issues were repair issues for bus which put us behind on one event and the leaking therein (rainy season). Buses need to be in better shape. Hotels were perfect for kids to see cultural differences and that they didn't need 4 or 5 star hotels. Everything was livable and students adjusted well.

Explorica chose the best restaurants and excursions for our 9 day Costa Rica. I would definitely travel with my students with them again in the future.

Trip was fantastic. Saw a lot, learned a lot and walked a lot :)
Great for kids to experience travel, different cultures, history and learn how to use public transportation.

"There were a lot of bumps on the trip"

There were a lot of bumps on the trip, but I didn't let it affect my group. We still had a great time. There were places that were scheduled we didn't get to go to, and places I wouldn't want to go again. Luckily for me I took a small group. So, it was easier for me to figure things out when the schedule didn't go as planned and made the best of it. Would I do this trip again? Yes, but with some changes and preferences.

"Loved our trip to Peru!"

Our trip was planned really well by the company. The transportation, rooming, and experience plans were great. We saw everything we wanted to, I’d say. Boris is a wonderful tour guide. He knew a lot about the cities we visited and was able to accommodate for everyone even though it was a group of middle schoolers, high schoolers, and some adults but only a couple knew any Spanish. Had lots of fun! Just be committed to a trip before signing up because medical requirements and such can always change in weird times. It’s not just this company guys.
