Recently ordered 2 Claire Austin climbing roses. Parcelforce were due to deliver and failed to do so. We contacted David Austin roses and asked them what we should do if they arrived damaged after being in the delivery van for so long in this heat. They immediately got onto Parcelforce who were incommunicado. When the roses arrived the following day we again contacted them to say they had arrived and seemed to be fine. They said they’d already dispatched 2 more roses and refunded the postage and we were to keep them with their compliments. They went out of the way to be helpful and would certainly recommend them.

This Spring (2017) I ordered the Roald Dahl rose for growing in a container.
It was sent in the most amazing package and was extremely healthy and loaded with buds. I followed the instructions for planting, got the right size container and added a lot of well rotted horse manure to the soil. Within weeks it was flowering happily and was much admired. I dead-headed, as per instructions, and now (late July) it is going like the proverbial clappers! Loads of new growth and plenty of buds. It is the most attractive rose; a beautiful colour with a delicate scent - no sign of any disease despite the wet, humid summer we are 'enjoying'. I can thoroughly recommend this particular rose, and David Austin Roses as a company that supplies excellence in every sense of the word.

I have ordered 2 Desdemona roses for our new garden in Glasgow. The plants were delivered pretty fast and well-packed. Roses are blooming and very healthy. Can't wait to choose more of those beauties for the garden. Absolutely happy!

I have purchased at least 50 pink yellow and white rose plants from David Austin. More than twenty of these roses have turned red. They have turned into the color they were grafted on. Here I have originally a garden that only has one red rose because I do not like red roses. And then now the majority of my roses are red. I called to tell them and they said it was because of my weather in Colorado. No one ever told me this could happen. It has never happened on any other roses not David Austin. They did not even take my name. They did not offer any help or to make up for any of it. Basically they said oh well. Nothing. Not even an offer to replace one. I am very sad to be treated like this by a company I have given so much of my business and trusted.

"Not everything in the garden is rosy"

Too busy winning prizes and hobnobbing with the queen to provide a competent, courteous service to the poorer classes of rose lovers. Pretty delivery boxes arrived containing the wrong roses, mislabelled so I only discovered the mistake, and the ruination of my garden colour scheme, when the flowering began six months later. I had to argue with insensitive, grudging customer service for proper acknowledgment of the inconvenience and disappointment caused. I'll forgive a mistake, but not bad attitude and lack of accountability. The experience was so unpleasant that I will never use them again.

We bought a shrub rose last year for our new front garden. It's in a prominent position so it was important it was a nice one. So we bought from David Austin and chose exactly what we wanted, regardless of cost.
We were not disappointed with the result - it was gorgeous last year and it's budding up beautifully this year with healthy new growth. Well worth the money!

We've just ordered a standard rose for a new bed in the back garden - this will be a feature in the garden and we're looking forward to similar quality. The website and service is excellent with our first rose arriving well packed and with good advice.

So far we're delighted - fingers crossed for the new delivery.

I have bought more than 20 roses from David Austin over the past few years. They have arrived on time, well-packed and with good instructions. Even more importantly they are strong, vigorous plants which have done very well in the garden. Visiting the company is inspiring - the roses are stunning to say the least. Highly recommended.
