"Received Huge Healthy Roses..."

I just bought a standard rose and a climbing rose from their website recently and they were both arrived in amazing condition! Both plants were huge and super healthy! I am so pleased, great value for money compared to the terrible plants I received from Crocus. Super quick shipping and delivery as well, impressive during the lockdown, I am now planning to order more from them.

I really don't know what is going on with David Austin Roses, they had such a good reputation but just look at the other 1* reviews such a shame....

In a nutshell:
First bear rooted died (very quickly)
The replacement they insisted I pay the difference between a bare rooted and a shrub rose as they didn't have a replacement bare root rose of the same type at the time
Finally when they sent out the replacement rose they sent the wrong one and then had to send another, they tried to blame me for "changing my mind" until I pointed out that at the time of the original order I had ordered 4 all the same (to cover a large rose structure) and then finally they sent the correct one!

The customer service was always spot on but not only did I have to experience this but the attitude on the telephone was poor to say the least, they didn't seem interested or even apologised.

We open our gardens top the public and chatting as gardeners do the word is what is going wrong!!

poor roses ,poor delivery, poor customer service. i bought two climbing roses from david austin ,established in 6 ltr pots , first the delivery was later than when i was told by two weeks ,and after a few e-mails ,i received them , the bloomed recentlly and buds had only half the petals. was told that because d austin had a frost earlier this year that this caused it and they should be ok later in the year , their roses are double the price of orher suppliers, i got roses from another supplier in nov ,bare root shrubs , i planted them in feb , i live in scotland which is cold , they have turned out fine , very dissappointed in cust service and product ,wont be using them again .

So disappointed with the rose I received. It was the first one I have bought from here and will certainly be the last. I emailed over a week ago and whilst I fully appreciate the present circumstances to not respond within a week is very disappointing too. If this company can't supply good products and operate at a reasonable level then maybe they should have not tried to trade until things with coronavirus have improved.

Cracking service from a trusted company. They never fail to impress me with their communication or quality of their roses. Latest delivery was Desdemona, beautifully packaged and arrived full of buds. Slight delay with the delivery but great communication about when delivery would be. Thank you.

"No customer service!!..."

I realise during this pandemic everyone is experiencing difficult times but I am very disappointed in their service. I ordered three roses and some feed etc., Two roses came but the products and third rose didn’t! This order was placed in 20th May - in spite numerous emails which they don’t reply to and several phone calls where they assure me they will send the balance of my order, I am still waiting.

very pleased with my beautiful pilgrim climbing rose absolutely beautiful .
I did wait a few weeks to arrive but I understood that .There was also a coronavirus note when ordering that they will be keeping there staff safe so basically expect a delay which was great to know that there staff are important to them .
my rose arrived with great packing and wadding on the top of the pot .
I also received a small informative booklet on how,to care for my rose which was a nice touch .
I will definitely be ordering from David Austin again .
