"Purchased this for my uncle"

Purchased this for my uncle, he has additional needs and was so excited to get this, the scooter doesn’t hold a charge and makes a high pitched noise intermittently, I tried to get a refund as the trauma has left my uncle with ptsd but nobody EVER returns calls, I have logs of every call, promise and logged each email as I’m now having to go to citizens advice with the information, I’m sick of being fobbed off with them saying they are sorry when all I want is a refund so I never ever have to deal with Segway again. I will take this as far as I have to to get a refund as per my rights and the warranty the scooter was sold to me with.
This was purchased on 05.11.24 and also should have been covered by the extended Xmas returns policy but Segway wriggled out of that also. Curry’s were useless as the store purchase provider also. The damage this is STILL doing to me and my family is unbelievable.

"Theft by segway - liars and thieves "

Segway are incompetent and steal you returns then have over people who keep asking you to return a scooter they have had in their possession for over 14 months.

Theft of product. Avoid at all costs.

Community at Segway is copied in on all emails and they ignore it.

"Grossly defective"

1. Defect and Safety Hazard
Since November, my scooter has repeatedly displayed “Error 40,” forcing sudden slowdowns in traffic.
This malfunction occurs multiple times daily, requiring me to pull off the road, restart the scooter,
and re-enter traffic—putting both me and others at risk.

2. Engine Failure and Rattling
On 23/12/2024 and again on 13/1/2025, the scooter’s engine began rattling, then cut down to 16 km/h before shutting off entirely. Repeated restarts were only briefly effective, ultimately rendering the scooter inoperable.
I was stranded, forced to walk for 45 minutes, and suffered financial loss, and reliability reputation.

3. History of Overheating
A previous G2 Max model overheated so severely that it melted the rear tire.
I never received an adequate technical explanation for this dangerous defect.

"Purchased e22 kick scooter with a seat"

Purchased e22 kick scooter with a seat. The scooter is well built. The problem is customer service & repairs. I give a -10. My battery would not charge. I was advised to mail the scooter, charger & extra battery in so segway could determine which was bad. I also took a photo of everything shipped in box. Segway returned my scooter without my charger. The extra battery was not attached to the scooter when it was shipped. Received back with battery attached & when you attach the extra battery there is hardware you have to remove from the scooter. It took over a month and 3 customer service associates to get my items back. One emailed me & stated their repair center would never do that. I had to go as far as telling them. If they didn't not return my items I paid for this is considered theft. Next, issue I purchased a new controller through Seway. Installed it and it been 2 weeks going back & forth. To flash the controller, which was done. The controller is binded to someone else email. My issue as of 01/30/2025 was sent to another department to handle. Haven't heard from them yet.

"Ne faites jamais réparé votre…"

Ne faites jamais réparé votre trotinette chez segway. Ma trotinette était garantie a été envoyé par Boulanger.

J'avais un problème de sécurité, ma trotinette tremblait. Je l'ai donc retourné au constructeur par le sav de boulanger.

Malgré le changement de potence et du guidon facturé alors qu'ils ne l'ont même pas remplacé car la même rayure était présente sur le guidon au même endroit.

Ils facturent alors qu'ils ne changent pas toutes les pièces et le problème est toujours non résolu. De plus ils manquent les caches vices sur les côtés. Maintenant les vices peuvent être rouillés.

Quand ils repartent, ils ne prennent pas soin de la trotinette.

Des choses sont manquantes sur ma trotinette. Deux cents et Quelques euros ont étés facturés. Je trouve ça inadmissible alors qu'elle a encore le même problème.

Prennez des photos avant de l'envoyer au sav. Vous verrez que j'ai raison.

On voit l'amateurisme.

Je n'achèterai plus de produits segway.

SAV déplorable (et encore le mot est faible)!

J'ai attendu 3 mois pour une réparation qui m'a coûté 200€, le produit revient et ne fonctionne toujours pas!
Ils ne répondent pas aux mails, et au téléphone ils disent qu'ils ne peuvent rien savoir!
C'est dommage car les trotinettes sont vraiment bien mais le service est déplorable!
Je vais informer les associations de consommateurs, ce qu'ils font est inacceptable!

"Segway has an Unhelpdesk"

Segway is chinese now.
And boy does it show :D The customer service is NON-existent. I got ahold of one guy and he was more surprised how i got the number than actually answering any of my questions.
Helpdesk literally feels superior to us mere mortals and will give you the silent treatment. And the scooters can be bricked or malfunctioning, for all they care, you paid and now youre done. Go throw it in the dumpster, or rent it as a paperweight. But dont even for 1 second think youre gonna get any aftersales service. I am SO glad i sold my Segway. Never! Never never will i get one of the Segway products ever again. Wow, just a nightmare has passed and im just happy its over.

"Christmas day ruined "

Got my 6 year old son a scooter for Christmas day. He was so excited but the scooter would not turn on ,it was broken. This scooter was new and never opened out of the box. He was so disappointed that Santa had sent him something that did not work, his main present. I've contacted segway several times and not even had an apology from them. I've emailed and sent messages on social media to no avail, they are not interested in resolving this.

I feel like like this is some sort of weird con.
