JUST STAY AWAY !!!!! If you are a Mover or a customer RUN AWAY!!!! Its all based online ONLY. There is nobody to talk to at there OFFICE. They NEVER reply BUT they will take your MONEY all based ONLINE or thru APP. I'm a Mover did a job in May for a customer and they didn't pay until end of October. My customer was SHOCKED. They have a great online system and nice to use. But there prices are TOO EXPENSIVE. Its better to find a mover in there system or get a Quote and than CALL the Mover DIRECTLY and I GURANTEE IT , It will be less EXPENSIVE. TRUST ME I'm a MOVER MYSELF. I'm curious HOW THE HELL they are still in BUSINESS. GOOD LUCK out there for Movers and CUSTOMERS.

Im a licensed mover, did job for them more than half year ago, called and emailed over 20 times total since then, they clearly dont want to pay.

Hi to everyone
For moving business who wants to do the jobs for Unpakt and customers: People book the move using the Unpakt platform. After, Unpakt hire small moving companies to perform the job. The companies do the job but the payment for the job receives the Unpakt, not the moving company. After, Unpakt is not paying the moving company for the job performed. The moving company calls them, send them multiple emails, and nothing.
What are they doing is fraud and they need to be reported for stolen labor.
Advice for customers: Book directly with a legit moving company. Don't use the Unpakt platform. They still hire moving companies and in the end, don't pay them.
They are using people's money but this money goes into Unpakt pocket, not to the moving company who is moving you.
BTW, When you go with Unpakt you pay approximately 20-30% more for your move.

"DO NOT USE UNPAKT, possible fraud."
Scheduled with unpakt 6 months prior to move. Was given 1 mover to choose from. unpakt charged me IN FULL 2 days before the move. Email, text and phone confirmations prior to the move. 1 hour before the move, the local company cancels. unpakt customer service was unavailable - NO HELP AT ALL.
> unpakt is a referral service. That is all. The local mover they referred me to was horrible. Not much of vetting process here.
> unpakt charges outrageously. The company I found (last minute, showed up within 2 hours) charged 60% of what unpakt did. AND they didn't charge until AFTER the job (except deposit).
> unpakt customer service is the worst. No answer for several hours on the day their mover cancelled and I HAD to be out of my house.
> I had to dispute the charges thru my CC company. THAT'S CORRECT: they no show, but wouldn't refund my money. Fraudulent.

"Unpakt is ok, the movers were terrible"
I've booked a move from Unpakt before and had awesome movers so thought I would use their services again but now wish I had booked my previous movers directly. I hated my movers from "Mega Move", they arrived 30 mins early (which was good) but as a single female mover I felt that the movers were trying to fleece me for money and take advantage of me at every turn. They first told me in real-time that I would be responsible for parking their parking ticket fine should they receive one because they had to park on a double yellow - the vehicle does not belong to me and therefore I should not be liable for paying for a parking ticket fee. They then took over an hour to get to my new apartment and then took slow painful steps to unpack my boxes. The mover then accused my inventory of being inaccurate when I had painstakingly counted my boxes and had in fact left many bags behind, this was the second attempt at fleecing money from me. After they had dumped my things I noticed that a few of my plants had been damaged in the move, the movers said nothing, and when I mentioned they said "that's why we usually don't move plants" - this was never conveyed to me before the move and if that was the case then I should not have been able to include the plants in my total inventory, I even ended up taking one plant out of the inventory and moving it on my own. I understand that some accidents might have happened along the way but ignoring it and not even bothering to mention it to me was beyond rude. The cherry on top was when they came to finally remove their coverings on my furniture, they didn't have a blade on them to remove the wrapping (what professional mover does not have a blade), and then they left their trash in my apartment.
I'm beyond angry and wished that I had booked with my previous movers who were gracious and did not make me uncomfortable during my move.

"Nightmare move, terrible customer support"
I had a horrendous move booked with Unpakt. I have been emailing back and forth with them for 6 weeks and all they are offering me is a 5% discount.
Some details of the move:
* They damaged our new house, breaking the wood lip to our door by not using a ramp, and opening a hole in the paint of our atrium floor by dropping something.
* They LOST a 8x10 area rug! And a box containing the hardware needed to put together one of our beds.
* They scratched up several pieces of expensive furniture by laying them on their side in the driveway with no protection
* They didn't even move the whole contents of our home! Going to the original house the next morning, there remained 3 carloads of stuff we had to haul ourselves. They even left a 6ft houseplant in ceramic planter perched precariously on the upstairs railing.
* They did not take an inventory of the house before starting, and did not have the inventory I made on Unpakt. Because of this, the truck filled too fast, which they admitted was lack of planning. Two trips had to be made.
* A 3 mile move took 11 HOURS. They left at midnight!
This was the most unprofessional, incompetent moving service I have ever used, and Unpakt does nothing to protect their customers.

Was able to book a moving service with peace of mind that the moving company won't overcharge me based on time. Everything with the move went well, and payment logistics were handled for me!

"EXCELLENT Move Experience"
This was the best of 4 move experiences I have had in and around Manhattan. I had very tight time constraints from both the building I was leaving and entering with another move stop in the middle. The team showed up early to prep everything, taking care of every item perfectly. They were extremely efficient, super friendly, and reassuring the entire time. The move was fully complete well before I anticipated! I would highly recommend to anyone in the area - 5 stars!
