"Misleading promotional emails"

I received an email saying that if I placed a £10 bet on the darts final, I would be credited with a free £5 bet to use on any sport.

So, I placed a £10 bet and then told my free £5 could not be used on horse racing

The email I received was misleading.
This should’ve been clearly stated and it wasnt.

If Id known that, I would not have placed a bet.

It may be buried somewhere in the terms and conditions, but it certainly wasnt mentioned in the email I received.

It clearly stated that the free £5 bet could be used on ANY sport. And as far as Im concerned horse racing is a sport.

I did contact support, who were just sorry that I was disappointed, but didn’t do anything to compensate me

I will open more accounts with other bookmakers now, based purely on this experience

Just a further update on BetFred..

They are supposed to give Best Odds Guaranteed on Horse Racing Bets placed after 8am and I stupidly believed them.
Just for the hell of it, I checked a couple of bets that won in the last week or so, and they didnt pay BOG.
I did ask for them to check all my winning bets for the last year or so, as it would be a simple query on my account for their IT team. However, I was told they didnt have time, and Id have to go through all my own bets which is absolutely terrible customer service

Ho aperto il profilo, fatto il primo versamento, piazzata la prima scommessa e vinto... e conto gioco immediatamente limitato nella sezione scommesse senza nessuna spiegazione logica e senza una motivazione. Così non posso completare il Bonus e si tengono i miei soldi e i soldi che ho vinto sulla scommessa. Assurdo, la mia unica colpa è di aver piazzata una scommessa e aver vinto... tutto ciò per non pagare i miseri 74eur che ho vinto... Truffatori!

Now, they claimed that they have not accepted the bet as I pointed out that they have not told me in what way I had breached their conditions. I of course cannot provide any proof for the confirmation of placing the bet. Thus, I would advise you guys to cap the screen after placing a bet.
