This company appear to have gone bust. I too have paid over £2000 for furniture that was not delivered. Calls to the company went unanswered and voicemails not returned. I was so upset and angry, the reviews and customer service beforehand appeared SO good, I paid for my order, then literally two days later the company disappeared. To those who are in the same boat as me, there may be hope, as I was able to get my money back from my bank (HSBC), even though I used my debit card and not my credit card, through transaction despute/ charge back. Thought I would share the news if it could help.

"SABAI Living not fit for purpose - be warned"

SABAI Living opened a warehouse locally selling patio furniture.... I had full sales talk that it was aluminium frames and water-resistant seat pads & backs. Full 7 year warranty.
I sept £3500, and the day after it was delivered it rained ... and a horrible white residue started appearing on bottom of all seats pads & backs - and running down on patio staining the stone.
Sabai came to inspect and advised its excess fire retardant ... just wash it off.
We washed every cushion twice and it has got worse & worse - looks awful ... and as we have had a VERY dry spell not even had much rain on them.
Was assured all seats & backs would be replaced with new stock in Sept.
They have ceased answering calls on any of 4 numbers.
Drove to warehouse - all signs gone, full of the same stock - but advised this is not SABAI they have gone bust.
They have bought from the receiver, SABAI Living no longer trading.
So I have a product not fit for purpose! and a worthless guarantee.

One star is generous as can’t leave empty. Paid for our furniture now back from holiday and want it delivered. No one picks up phone (goes to voicemail) or answers email. Are they still trading????

Further to my previous review, Sabai Living are still trading officially according to Companies House. Interesting to note, that they were called Midland Waste Treatment until November 2021, and that the same two people have been swapping controlling shares over the last several years.

Wish I had spotted this before spending over £3k. The furniture appears to be ok so far...

Gone bust?

We’ve had the same problem as others on this feed, we ordered a 14 piece group set for a client &the table wasn’t delivered with the order.

I’ve called 3 times, emailed 3 times & no response - it looks like they’ve gone bust.

I agree with the previous reviewers - no website, phone is down, no reply to emails. They were excellent until 2 weeks ago, then suddenly disappeared. We have exactly the same white residue experience, washed the cushions, and now want them replaced as promised. And some of our cushions still haven't arrived anyway. We're still waiting for the 8 year guarantee too. Anyone with an update???

"Not fit for purpose garden furniture"

I was looking online for garden furniture and came across Sabai living. I made contact with them to find out they had a warehouse in Swansea where you could see and it chose the furniture. We set out on a two hour journey to the warehouse on the next Saturday. We were originally impressed with what we saw and spent £2370 on some furniture. They offered to deliver it the next day which we gladly excepted. I was told all the paperwork would be sent over from head office on Monday and I would have to register the furniture for the 8 year guarantee. I was also told they mainly sale to pubs and bars at its classed as commercial graded furniture and robust. I was told all the cushions could stay out all year and were totally waterproof. The sales guy even through water on the seat pad to show me how the water just ran off. We received our delivery the next day. The delivery guys were unaware they had to unpack the furniture or take the packaging away. By Wednesday I still hadn’t received any paperwork just a email from stripe to say I had paid £2370, so I contacted Sabai who said they could see we had purchase furniture from the warehouse but they don’t do any paperwork for warehouse sales, but we weren’t the first people to ask so it was something they were looking into. I asked about registering for the warranty but Shelly at Sabai said just keep your card payment receipt. A few days later we had a rain storm and once the furniture dried all this white stuff started appearing on the cushions. I contacted Sabai who casualty suggested it was perfectly normal and to just take all 21 covers off and wash them in the washing machine. I told them after spending such a large amount and bearing in mind it was half price so the set was worth nearly £5k. I didn’t expect to have to wash the cover before We could use the furniture. They told me I wasn’t the first customer to have this issue and they may of had a faulty batch so agreed to exchange it but it would take about two weeks and someone would call me with a collection date. No one called after two weeks so I chased them up and they did come and replace the next day. However two weeks on and the same
thing has happen to the new set. All this white stuff has come out of the cushions, I am now unable to contact Sabai living and I have £2370 unfit for purpose garden furniture in my garden.
