"I received the flag and a wall mount…"

I received the flag and a wall mount flag pole in two separate shipments. I found the way of trying to attach the flag to the flag pole via two fairly fragile plastic rings sort of lame. It seems like you just sort of have to jam a small piece of the flag under the ring and then cinch it down to the pole as best you can. There must be a better way to do this.
