"Repeated Issues, No Accountability"
I’ve given CeX multiple chances, but every purchase has been a frustrating experience.
1️⃣ Wrong Item Sent – Ordered a Sonos IKEA Symfonisk Gen 2 speaker, received a Gen 1. CeX’s only solution? Return it. No apology, no effort to send the correct item. I kept it as I needed a speaker, but it wasn’t what I paid for.
2️⃣ Inaccurate Stock Information – Checked online and saw the speaker was available in CeX Blackpool. Took the time to go there, only to be told it was a website mistake. A wasted trip.
3️⃣ Wrong Item Sent Again – Weeks later, the same speaker was still listed online, so I ordered it. What arrived? A completely different product (Sonos Play 1). Complained via email, expecting some form of resolution, but again – the only option was to return it.
4️⃣ Faulty Product – Against my better judgment, I ordered a Sonos Play 1 for a friend. The power cable didn’t fit properly, and the speaker didn’t turn on at all. At this point, I didn’t even bother complaining—just returned it immediately.
Across all these orders, CeX never offered compensation or made any real effort to resolve the issues beyond a simple return. Their stock system is unreliable, their product descriptions can’t be trusted, and their customer service is indifferent at best.

" Incomplete and mismatched"
Boxset set of Duck Dynasty arrived incomplete with one cd missing which was half of a season.
While a Home Alone dvd I ordered (the standard original) came in family fun edition dvd case.
It was easy to see someone had made a simple mistake as the two inventory numbers didn’t match up.
While this may seem insignificant it was more my dealings with customer service that annoyed me most as I was made to feel that it was me that had misunderstood and that because the dvd inside was correct then all should be well and I should be grateful.
I was offered that I could return both incomplete orders but having paid €7 for delivery €3.50 each it was going to put me out of pocket too much so I reluctantly choose to just hold on to them.
