"Brother KH-970 knitting machine "

While trying to purchase a Brother knitting machine from the 1990s, I found one in which the CB-1 (control box with digital readout) was refurbished, minus the backlight for the LCD.

I spent $75 on a replacement foil, but the connection on the printed circuit board did not power the foil. As the electronic machine has the ability to intake a pattern by entering it row by row, having illumination was basic sanity preservation.

I was having to use a flashlight to see the menu.

Although shorter than the original foil, these LED lights fit the LCD window perfectly.

At $2.50, I bought a few plus a resistor to get the voltage from 4.5 to 3.

These LEDs are available on Amazon, but the shipping is conflated with each Adafruit light. Much happier to get a few with one shipping fee!

What a brilliant company. Always difficult to justify and trust purchasing from outside of my own country but this is so quick and efficient that it's like purchasing from the next town.
