I used a well known CV writing company about 5 years ago which was a one star experience through and through. I decided to have another go with TopCV and couldn't be more delighted. I had Daniel H as my wordsmith/writer who did a brilliant job, lots of subtle changes and formatting and really quick to respond. I've now reposted with the new CV and I've had lots of great results so I can't fault the service. Great job.

"Inaccurate and unreliable assessment ..."
A quick email was received on 30/01/2024, however, the assessment looks very generic and incorrect; lots of the statements are wrong or inaccurate, so I thought that they have reviewed someone else's CV but not mine.
Very basic examples:
1. In my CV in several areas, I indicated that my experience is 22 years, I mentioned this on the summary, and I detailed my work experience from year 1 to 22 in the work experience section. However, the assessment insisted on indicating 16 years of experience.
2. The review has referred to "Khalifa Stadium" as one of my employers, which is surprising as I did never mention in my CV that I had an employer called Khalifa Stadium, and my employers are clearly mentioned in bold font with the dates of employment.
3. It shows contact info as Not Found which is surprising.
4. Most recent education as not found, while I am clearly stating a PhD with the date of graduation.
And many other basic mistakes. So, I do believe that the free service is just useless.
Maybe the paid service is different, and I received a poor report because I had the free service, so I got what I paid for.

I have been waiting for customer services to help since 7 December 2023 - I have contacted them weekly for help.
My cv was so badly re-written I could not use it.
I paid £219 for a premium service, the service was slow the draft cv was atrocious and took me so long to sort out the errors - I had to re-write the whole thing myself.
I delayed applying for roles because I had paid TopCV to rewrite my cv.
I used them based on recommendations from others but unfortunately it did not look like a human wrote my cv, I think it was done by AI which did a terrible job.
Edit: I have emailed TopCV again today and I have been emailing since 7 December 2023
Edit: They did not sort out the issues nor refund for the appalling cv they wrote for me. Stay clear of them
