The soil testing meter was just what I wanted and worked very well, showing me different readings in various parts of my garden. I have just moved to a new house and knew nothing about the ph of the soil, but because I am a keen gardener and had brought many plants with me, I needed to know whether I needed to change the soil or not. It turned out that part of my garden is neutral to acid while the other is alkaline, and the cheap single test kits I bought were useless.
