"Happily took my deposit Money in March…"
Happily took my deposit Money in March on a new Nissan Juke. Car still not arrived and not due until October/November at the easiest. I now hear through the grapevine that Colin Appleyard is closing down in September. No mention from them with regards to what is happening with MY money or order and it would seem it’s up to me too find out. Disgusting from an “alleged” reputable company that’s shutting down

"Do not use this car company absolute…"
Do not use this car company absolute con artists!
I bought a car from them had nothing but problems with it.
The service staff can’t sort out the issue and the customer service staff are rude! I would stay well clear off this dealership and advise people to go else where!

"Highly Recommended"
The staff, in particular Ami were very helpful and provided lots of information. I decided to purchase a car from them as not only was it value for money but the service and attention to detail was excellent.

"Huddersfield branch is fab"
I purchased a car from Colin Appleyard in Huddersfield. Wonderful customer experience from start to finish. You feel very looked after as a customer and they go above and beyond every time. Particular credit to Flo and Steve Bagnall who were fantastic

"Colin Appleyard Suzuki Bradford, The worst car buying experience that left me out of pocket by £700 and without a car."
Appalled beyond words by the car buying experience at this Suzuki Dealership. Cancelled the Sale and walked away. Buyer beware!
My daughter and I contacted the garage to enquire about a vehicle we had seen online. We were told the car was in huge demand and to get to the garage ASAP. This we did the same day and took our part exchange for a valuation. Agreed a price to part x and pay a deposit that would on completion of the sale be transferred to pay for The Gap Insurance. The salesman was very chatty, discused his wife, family, father, previous jobs etc constantly talking over myself and my daughter, twice walking off, dealing with other customers through most of the conversation, we repeatedly told him when he asked, should we want to put some cash into the deal, that the part x was the only amount we had and the small deposit was to pay for the gap insurance only. Repeated this to him again when my second daughter arrived.
We paid by debit card for the deposit. We agreed a monthly payment that would fit our budget and applied for finance. We were contacted the next day regarding the trade in and agreed to a lower valuation and for the difference of this to be financed and added to the monthly payments. Again the salesman talked very quickly and talked over me clearly not listening. My daughter signed the online docs. We set up a new insurance policy and paid the administration costs. Very excited, today my daughter was due to collect her car, this afternoon on arrival she was asked for her £1000 deposit that was visible on the paperwork but had never been discussed or agreed to. The same salesman talked in circles I stuck to my guns as we did not agree any further deposit with him. Only ever the trade in, had I known of this, why would my daughter have turned up to collect her new car with no knowledge of the £1000 money due. Of course we were not in a position to buy the car, we cancelled the sale. To add to this catastrophic experience, instead of refunding the small deposit we had paid, we were charged it a second time, now costing my daughter over £500 in error, then refunded which will take days to show In her account and has now left her in her overdraft, we taxed the new car and now have to wait for the log book to arrive to cancel it and lose 1 months road tax payment, further more we have been told to make a third 25 mile round trip to return it to the dealership, which i will not be doing
it can be collected, as well as the cost of admin charges from our insurers. We are now left in debt, out of pocket by £140 road tax, insureres charges of £50, fuel £40, and costs of refunds £505, totalling over £700. To add to this we are probably unable to proceed to purchase any car as we need to wait for the finance to clear down. I am frustrated beyond words to have not even, out of courtesy, received any communication from a senior Manager with an explanation. My daughter is in tears, she has wasted a whole afternoon
with no new car. Absolutely dreadful service. I am Head of a .com Trade Sales Division with 15 Account Managers reporting into me, should I have had knowlege of this type of shocking experience from one of our customers
the outcome would have been very different, this gives car salesmen the type of reputation they have tried desperately hard to leave behind.

"Excellent service even being 200 miles away"
I recently purchased a qashqai via the internet as i had a Qashqai before so i knew all the gadgets it has. I lived 200 miles away from the showroom so needed a better view of the car than a picture. I spoke to Patrick who duely sent me a video within the hour. I agreed to purchase the car after leaving a deposit and from then on Patrick ensured that the sale went threw without a hitch. Patrick was outstanding keeping in contact through out the transaction a true asset to the company. I would highly recommend the company no matter how far away you are from them

"Shocking decline in customer service"
My second experience with Colin Appleyard has been shocking. 12th April - finally allowed to test drive again i arrange an appointment for 08:30. Salesman is over an hour late. Then the incorrect spelling of my name in all finance documentation. Asked for a copy of the pre-sale inspection report. Still waiting for it to be emailed. Then an incorrect title used on V5 etc - had to get everything changed. Now there is something wrong with the car. Car taken to Colin Appleyard on 20th August and a fault diagnosed - as well as the handbrake tightening as the car had decided to start rolling away. Last phone call regarding the problem on 10th September. I know i should be chasing this up - but I have really lost all patience, they don't care about after service. Nothing since. Shockingly poor from a once trusted brand.

"Bike parts delivered to home."
Bought bike part from Colin Appleyard bikes in Keighley but they were two day delivery. Mark on parts offered to bring them across to Halifax when he found out I lived there and it was on his way home. Saved me another trip out. Excellent customer service.
