customer service did not try to keep me as a customer when i said i didnt agree to a "pop up" fee of 107.99 annually and interest rate will be increased to 35.99 percent. ive been a customer for YEARS and never ever late on a payment and even paid off my cards usually when i got income taxes back every year but they determined that they needed to charge a loyal customer more or the customer could close account was the only option.

This ridiculous company would not permit me to use a PO Box for my mailing address so I NEVER received my credit card! I live in a rural mountain town in Colorado and I have a physical address with a PO Box for my official mailing address. This very SUBPAR credit card company for reasons unknown, will not permit a PO Box for my mailing address. This makes absolutely no sense! I had to cancel the card. The customer service agents were impossible to understand and had very poor attitudes.
Do not apply for a credit card through this company as they are the ONLY credit card issuer that does not permit a PO Box for a mailing address. Absolutely ridiculous!

I am a customer with Avant, I have paid my payments on time since I opened the account. I just lost my husband in Jan and made my Feb payment 4 days late and had a late fee added so I called the customer support line to explain to them my situation and if the late fee could be removed. I was told I would get an email I did they DENIED it. I am so frustrated since I am dealing with a lot right now and for them to have NO EMAPTHY it's beyond me. These are multimillion dollar companies that I believe a 29.00 refund would not affect them at all!!!!!
I hope whoever reads this consider opening an account with them, they were very unhelpful !!!
