"Awful. Slow Service."

I have had Amazon third-party sellers send me items via Whistl Group on three separate occasions now, and each time the deliveries have taken so long. For example one delivery I am waiting for was despatched on Monday and picked up by Whistl the same day. But it wasn't until 10pm the next evening (according to their tracker) that it arrived at their hub. What did they do? Collect it on foot? Items given to them seem to take at least a week before they pass it onto another carrier for delivery, be it Royal Mail or some other courier.

From now on, if I wish to buy something online I'll make sure they're not using Whistl. It would be quicker for me to send my cat to collect the package.

"Frightened when order from Amazon…"

Frightened when order from Amazon marketplace seller was a day late and realised they were using Whistl delivery service (with all the bad reviews). The item did arrive the next day, however. It's a pity this company gets so many bad reviews - but many people have had bad experiences.

"Avoid"

Waiting on a delivery of live plants.

The retailer ‘You Garden’ sent me an e-mail at 3pm on Friday 23 June 2023 to say the delivery has been collected.

Whistl states since 8am that day a collection has been scheduled.

It is now Monday.

Collection still showing as scheduled.

This is day four of the live plants sitting in a box with no light and no water. One I believe needs a fair bit of water.

I have tried to contact Whistl but all they offer is drop down boxes which advise you to contact retailer.

I have contacted retailer ‘You Garden’ but all I got from them was an e-mail confirming they had received my e-mail and they may contact me back within three days but they are busy.

All I was asking for was a delivery date.

No response. No information. No update.

Needless to say I won’t be using either company again.

Will update when my anticipated dead plants finally arrive 0/10 from me.

Tuesday - still no information and still no delivery.

"Absolutely a scam."

they started sending me fake letters about an EE contract years ago and finally stopped only to come back out of the woodworks today after 5 years, don't let them steal your money!

"Parcel is MIA with no responsibility taken Whilstl"

Parcel was delayed. They didn't inform me they passed it over to Royal Mail to deliver or give a reason why they did that when I spoke to customer services.

Even though they should be responsible for the parcel if I have a problem with the parcel being passed over to Royal Mail (they had no reason why they couldn't post it themselves as it's a small parcel) they put it on me.

As of this moment Royal Mail are uncontactable and hanging up every call before being put through so it should be up to Whistl to follow up.

Recommend avoiding this company like the plague as they are not holding up to their responsibilites by not informing customers when they pass over a parcel to another courier.

Update (2 days later): Royal Mail aren't able to track package without a tracking number Whistl were responsible for providing me. There is no reference to the parcel being passed over to Royal Mail in the customer accessible parcel tracking - unacceptable!

When I tried to speak to customer services via webchat, even though I am position 2 in the queue I am being warned it will take over 45 minutes to answer.

Managed to speak to an agent, even though it's logged in their system and is verified they had it first and according to their visible records they still do - they're not claiming they're responsible. Royal Mail would have given them a tracking number when it was passed over so they're definitely lying about not being responsible as the intermediary. They claim they are just a broker - yet they have given the wrong tracking number for the parcel. This appears to just be a broker number which is no use to me a recipient. They claim not to even have a record of the sender. Their incompetence is astounding. Time will tell if I get the parcel.

"Badly damaged goods"

Many companys seem to be using this service this year. Post and delivery of live plants from suppliers in my experience.
It adds time to everything, and everything Ive received has been so badly damaged Ive decided I can no longer order from my normal supplier who has taken to using Whistl.
The courier gets lumbered with a badly handled parcel and takes the flack.
What is the point of this company between me a vendor and courier?
Date listed is last and final experience.

"Absolutely useless"

Absolutely useless. Finally managed to speak to a human being to track a parcel. Gave them the 16 digit tracking number supplied be EVRI (who are also useless) and nobody could recognise it. I was told to contact the retailer but as I had no idea who the retailer was it was difficult to do so. The customer support person just kept saying i needed to contact the retailer even though I didn't know who they were

"I wish there was a zero stars rating"

I wish there was a zero stars rating. I ordered 2 beds which should have arrived 10 days ago and I have been sleeping on a mattress on the floor. It says that it was delivered to us yesterday but we didn’t receive a phone call to say it was delivered (We didn’t get the beds either).
