I had a bad experience and would not recommend.

During the quote process they did not confirm details about whether the sofa would fit in the lift. I assumed that since they are a removals company, they would remove the sofa, however it needed to be done.

On the day with half my possessions already in the van they called and demanded an additional £200 to take the sofa down the stair well. When I queried it later, they said if I didn’t pay it was the removal men would be paid less not the company. This is shocking and felt like an attempt to guilt me in to paying. The £200 was also ridiculous because they were already on an hourly rate, so any additional time spent moving the sofa was already being paid for.

Furthermore they have yet to refund me the full amount of overtime paid (at 6pm head office closes so they call you and take payment for the estimated time remaining on the job, and then refund you if the team finish sooner than estimated).

In summary, willing to pay their employees less to make up for their bad quoting process and still owe me money

Really good experience with these guys. We moved from an apartment to a house and they were professional and communicative throughout the process. We had a team of three and the whole move was done within five hours. They disassembled and reassembled larger furniture items with care and were very efficient. I would use this company again.
